ortolan bunting (Mary Kirby description) is kind of bird wich was delicates in France.The bird is caught alive and then blinded or put in a darkened cage. In the cage, the birds are force-fed until they get very fat.

If it helps, it's not a word I'd have used were I talking about anyone IRL. I did so here because her archetype appears to deliberately embrace a specific type of unpleasantness that's always associated with women (unless it's with flamboyantly gay men) when it appears in media, and it's one I tremendously dislike. I mean, I dearly hope more is done with Vivienne than this, I just can't understand why they chose to release the info that they have in this manner.

Generally speaking, you want a wide range of personality types for companions. Not all these personalities will be pleasant or desirable to every player. This is fine. You are not supposed to like everyone.

Kinda what I get from it.  On the outside you see her as beautiful, strong, confident but generally pleasant.  She has a knack for navigating the Orlesian intrigue so she may be persuasive and have a way with words.  As you get to know her she may be perceived as manipulative, cruel, and very dangerous. She might be a good person with good intentions but she'll do some very not-so-good things to get results.  

 

Or maybe somehow she's just entirely disgusting because that's really all I get when I think of actually partaking of such a meal. Blegh.

What stands out to me from the description is that to even consider eating it, you must be extremely devoted to your beliefs.  Willing to taste organs and cut up your own gums to taste your blood as an expression of faith.  I think this is somebody who would not balk from self-harm or self-sacrifice in the name of something. 

 

Or maybe it means that she is rich and decadent, but became so through the most horrid trials. 

 

Or maybe it means that if you try to eat her, she'll cut you.

Yeah, if I had to speculate on her personality based on what we know, I would agree with those who say that she is ostentatious, decadent, and a means justify the ends kind of woman.  I'm predicting that she is probably going to be "fabulous" and cunning and a little cold.
