Here's a question. I noticed in the PAX Demo she was wearing one of the 8 outfits from the picture in Cresswood and then a different one in the Western Approach Keep assault. So will we be seeing her in all of them from the "Creating the First Enchanter" pic?
I assumed those were simply different robes that she could equip, and she changes based on her unique look.

Don't leave man!

Hmm...I wonder how differently she'd react from a human mage to a qunari mage, since her released info implies some heat between her and a mage inquisitor.
But still won, I take it?
The power of reload never fails.

Mage Inquisitor? Where?

Allan's very witty and sassy. I'd probably be just as
as Allan in his shoes, maybe even more
.
Allan, I like you, man, I really do. And I enjoy your contributions to any thread, both when it's tongue and cheek and when it's serious.
But this is my opinion on the character at hand and some teasing and trolling from someone who happens to work at Bioware isn't going to make me reconsider it and start treating behavior I have no respect for with fear and awe.
As I've said; the game itself may very well change my opinion on Vivienne, and her portrayal may very well cause me to both like and respect her, though I sincerely doubt I'll ever fear her.
But if my lack of playing along with your teasing has offended you in any way, I apologize. I responded to you the same why I'd respond to anyone else on these boards, or anywhere else.
Well, this is tense...

Have a Vivienne!

and another!!!!

Gosh I hope my Inquizzy can have a staff as fabulousmazing as Vivienne's.

Nothing will top the Staff of Violation.

The design was cool, the enchantment was crap though. I never used it for end game.

Uh? One of the best for Entropy-Spirit skillset.

I use a modded version that scales to your level, so playing the DLCs doesn't comically overlevel you for all the items in The Last Straw.
What gave you an impression, that she was talking about PC?
er....it says Inquisition mage, so my mind jumped to the Inquisitor.
That, and I was hoping that our class may actually influence how we interact with our followers.

Ah, that probably worked better haha. I usually just stick to The Final Thought or Malcolm's Honor.

Probably none are as bad as if the Inquisitor was Qunari. Imagine if it was like Sten, and he told Vivienne that she can't be a woman and a fighter. That would cause problems.
You can't say that to Vivienne according to the Qun, she is not a ''woman'' she is a mage. It could be said to Cass though.

I am disappinted in her personality. Power gasping anf rather stupid madane who unsult ambassador from another country when :"Wars rage across the continent, the sky is torn open, and many say the end of the world is upon us."
Gaspard was right when he desided to remove Celene from throne.
Well, I like the sound of her, I must say. She'll be enormous fun to poke.
But in the light of that letter, I can't really see how she's a master manipulator in the Machiavellian style. She comes across as part-Mean-Girl, part second-string courtier. There are too many informalities, direct threats and insults in that letter; it's deliberately inflammatory and if it were leaked*, it would serve to make her look both ham-fisted (like she's using a series of calibrated jackhammers to swat a fly) and threatened --driven to extremes of language and expression-- by some nobody of an ambassador.
Machiavelli said, when you have to hit someone, make sure they can't rise to retaliate. If this Nevarran nobody is actually a threat, she should end him. If he's not a threat, she can afford to be gracious. But a letter such as that one is practically a dare for the receiver to infiltrate the servants' number, and poison the punch, possibly pinning the blame on her as they do so.
All she really needed to say was "I heard an unsettling rumour that you intended to attend a certain upcoming social event. I have it on the best authority that you have not been invited, and I earnestly warn you, dear friend, to stay away. Spare yourself the shame and indignity of being refused entry, or worse, of being ejected by the hostess, as you most assuredly will be. Retain your standing under the watchful eyes of your peers, including the gracious Comtesse Montbelliard, in whose favour you would never again find yourself after such a public embarrassment."
*and by the gods, if I received it it'd be making the rounds of every supper-party in Orlais,

I have to admit that this character is interesting me even though my initial impression of her was that of a snob. I hope she speaks with an English accent, and if she sounds like Garnet from Steven Universe then yea, I will be happy ![]()
