I have heard some accounts from ME players that it is possible to leave Garrus/Wrex on the Citadel and not recruit them. How do I go abouts doing so? I am on my 5th playthrough, so once I am done with this (and want to go back to ME after I have completed ME2 ^^) I shall play with an Engineer/Liara/Ashley, so I won't miss them much.

So yep. That's about it. How do I totally ignore these 2 amazing characters. Come on... you have to do it atleast once, I want to see how that will impact ME2 and whether Garrus will be seriously pissed off at you about it

i think you need one or the other cause without one of them you never find out about fist which prevents you from getting talia and moving forward. I think its easier if you dont get garrus and just get wrex and head straight for fist.

Ah, now it makes sense ^^. So what happens if you decide not to take Wrex, does he disappear forever?

no, He'll wait for you at the elevator to the docking bay. so will garrus if you dont recruit him. you have to recruit at least one ofthem

Hah, I just did this last night, actually, on a renegade playthrough. I chose to take Wrex, because he can be 'disposed of' later. When you go to the elevator in C-Sec after being made a Spectre, Garrus says that he quit his job, and begs you to take him with you. You can refuse, and he waits there in case you want him later. Kinda funny, never saw it happen before.
