Hi,

Would it be possible to allow at least one (not animated) image in our signatures?
Seems to work for avatars, would be nice if we could have that feature back for our signatures, too.
It was quite useful for quicklinks to groups, websites, threads, channels.

I for one would LOVE to be able to upload images to our signatures. I was so excited when I saw we could have signatures in the groups and stuff, and utterly saddened when I realized I couldn't upload my freshly made banner...

Nope. We can't.

 

Bioware said that it is by design that Images on Signatures aren't allowed.

This is a shame, especially considering Guyblade just sent a week fixing his wonderful badges due to half the servers shutting down "issues."

It would make sense for them to disable images in signatures for the first couple of days or whatever so all the images don't bog down the site, I guess, but if their intent is not to let us have images in them at all... yeah.

 

Come on guys, change it? Pretty please? People had some creative stuff and when you say a nice, colorful link in their sig, it really helped people find neat things! It also gave profiles some personality.

 

Pretty please with a dextro cherry on top...?

Lacking signature images is one of the biggest actual complaints I have here.

 

Just weird how in so many ways, this new forum seems modern, but in a few glaring aspects, it appears up to decades behind.

 

People use forum sig images. They enjoy them. It helps mark things, social groups (in typically positive ways), and links to useful external sites. It's a forum thing. And this forum suffers for lacking them.

 

Heck, some even have amazing graphic design that I feel is lost now.

I'd like them to bring back the signature images too. I tried to add the game badge icons to my signature yesterday since they won't appear under my avatar (and I miss them), but no luck. Maybe just have a size limit for images?

Oh, boo. Hopefully that will change once you've sorted out the bigger issues.

 

About the game icons, I played DA:O on two platfroms (PC and PS3) as well as Mass Effect 3 (Xbox and PS3). I need more icons!

I tried looking into that, but I don't think my old profile has the links I need. If it's supposed to be under "Player Profiles" for each game, mine aren't activated because I play offline. The "Games Registered" listing doesn't have any links for me to copy.

That's what I meant, I don't actually have any player profiles linked to my account even though I have the games registered. 

 

Not trying to get the thread off-topic. Just saying, I would have liked to add the little icons to my signature.

I'd like to add my support to adding image(s) in signatures even if it were an earned privilege.

Also, I remember seeing complaints on the old forum about signature images being distracting for some users; perhaps a toggle button under "My Settings" that would allow users to turn off signature images if they wanted? If the new software allows it anyway.

I also agree.

 

I would also think there might be some way the software could allow people to block all users' signatures from showing. I say this because if you had a specific user blocked, you can choose to block seeing their posts, block seeing their signature, and/or block them from sending you PMs. If you can block specific users' signatures, surely there's some way to take that option and use it as a toggle to apply to all users rather just only blocked ones?

 

However, I know zero about software, so I'm really just extrapolating from what we appear to have at our disposal. It's possible it could only work in the "blocked user" context. *shrugs*

Come on BW, I just finished programming my own manifest completion badge...

I mean, it's ok to prevent us from posting images the size of this one:

 

 

 

 

...but at least allow me to show small parts of it (like in GuyBlade's old manifest completion badge system).
