How do you transfer the ownership of your group to someone else?

Yup, that's what I tried with two groups, too.
It will give the new owner the proper rights - but the creator of the group will still be listed as its owner in the group info.
Somehow it's not really a transfer but a promotion. Unfortunately there seems to be no workaround, since the creator can't leave their own group.

This is problematic. It was possible to tranfer ownership in the old BSN.
Probably some kind of glitch.

Yeah. From what I understand, the transfer function sets the person it is being transfered to, to the highest available rank, but does not set them as the actual owner, nor remove the one transferring it as the current owner.
So I'm going to go on a limb and say the function is there, but currently bugged.

Okay, after reading this, I tried to create an additional rank with Owner privileges, and ran into more bugs.
After having the Guest rank switch to the owner's rank by default (this has now happened in all 3 groups to which I belong) I added 2 ranks, a second owner rank, and a duplicate guest rank.
Although all 4 privileges were checked on the duplicate owner rank, the person, once switched, did not have permission to see the group. The had access to the settings in the CP page, but couldn't view the threads or topics, as though they were a guest.
