Why not simply use the hierarchy of minions?

New user: Criminal

Moderate user: Minion

It doesn't have to be related to buns although buns are awesome. Y'all can choose whatever you want.

@Nate

We give homage to buns whenever possible. Especially man buns >_>_>

It was just a small joke back on the old forum. My love of manbutt was outnumbered vastly by all the womanbutt dude love so I promoted myself to Overruling Bun Empress. It seems to have worked so far.

So you like manbutts? And your a man?

Im going to hide my arse and save it for chicks.

Sneaky is not a man. Notice the "Empress".

Hello everyone! Even though I haven't posted at all in a long time, I have been lurking around from time to time and only found out about this migration a couple of days ago.

Good to see the group is going strong and dandy. And speaking of groups, it seems our hub has gotten a pretty slick upgrade. This new forum prototype is rather enjoyable and a breath of fresh air that BSN needed, I think. Liking it a lot so far.

Oh, and lest I forget: Dat quarian. That is all.

Hey there Hyraz! Good to see you've found the new Grew. I'm quite enjoying the new BWF forums and group layouts. BioWare seems to have listened to fan feedback, because this is way better than BSN. They even re-opened the Romance threads! which may cause another LI flame war

I did indeed see the old romance forum open again, although with its' obscure location I expect there won't be much activity there just yet.

Either way, I like the solitude we have here. Even more now that the groups are given more attention to from BioWare. Old group functionalities were pretty rough when compared to the full-fledged forums.

Your tablet seems very insensitive.

Glad that you're back, Hyraz.

Good to see you around too, Stephen! A moderator, nonetheless. Not surprised you'd be one given your history around here.

I thought rule #20 stated:

There are no grills on the internet. Only men that want to be grills.

Rules were made to be broken, good sir.

Also: it would be cool to see some more activity on here, so what do you guys think might spark some conversation? More game threads? Writing competitions, maybe? I know most of the members here have done some form of writing, and we could even give out prizes like favourites/follows/reviews, etc. Lemme know if any of that sounds interesting, or if you've got any suggestions.

I think that's a good idea, Sneaky. It's sort of the reason I was considering putting up more debating threads: more to spark conversation than dissension. If any of those ideas gets people talking and enjoying the group more, then I think they're great ideas.

More subjects are good, although it does potentially spread the group more thin.

Repeats of previous discussions can be good too. New views/opinions on old matters can be interesting to hear. Although some should probably be left in the past. Like... you know, research on quarian sweat and its underlying properties.

I would love to see some writing competitions, but many of us writers are busy with RL if im not mistaken. Take dear ol' BRAINS for example...

I think if we are going to do writing competitions it should be with loose deadlines that aren't too distant so that people can sign up when they have a free schedule and not engage in the competitions that take place when they're busiest. We can always redo certain topics or genres if someone missed out on one they liked anyway.

There's an FF forum called Aria's Afterlife that does monthly competitions, with about a 3-4 week deadline, and those have been pretty successful. We'd also have to decide whether we'd want a panel of judges or one. I would prefer one, IMO, simply so that more people can participate. Unless we allow judges to participate but not vote for their own story.

I think we could do different styles, at least while our group is so small. For example, one week someone could suggest we do a combat scene with limited context and based on those interested and their timetables we could set a due date and extend it at anyone's reasonable request. For other competitions we could make them longer or more contextual or even give strict deadlines. I just don't want to put stress on those wanting to participate, at least while we're starting out with so few people.

We could do a single judge, or just have those that don't have time to participate be the judge(s) for any particular competition.

So new Tali shirt is available, just bought it because of how similar and awesome it is. And it has that noir style thing I always loved to do.

I'm well aware of Aria's Afterlife, Sneaky. I'm a prominent member there after all. lol

Snarky comments aside, you're right about their competitions, they are way fun but doing one every month might be too difficult for such a small group like ours. I would say the idea Stephen had would be kinda cool, where one judge decides the contest and the deadline (maybe no more than a month? Two at the utmost) but have it be small time writing. A combat scene, or possibly just a word limited story/one shot.

Oh, I know that, I was just explaining for other members who aren't familiar with that forum.

And I agree that one every month would be too difficult. When we have a larger group it might be more feasible, but for now keeping it more sporadic would be best, I think.

We should give the judge full power; decide the deadline, the topic, the conditions, length, etc. So, if anyone's got any ideas, I'm game. We should probably stick with one-shots for now so as not to make it too complex. I would offer ideas but I don't really have any >_>
