Skype group sounds cool if you guys want to chat more - I'm usually just busy working or see nothing new on here and don't bother posting.

 

Also, have you guys seen the news about ME4? It looks... kind of terrible. It'll apparently be set during ME2-3, and you're a human N7. So basically a re-hash of Shep, but less cool and your actions matter even less since Shep will save the galaxy anyway. I was really hoping for a post-ME3 with no Reapers or Cerberus or possibly even being an alien, but it sounds like that may not happen. I love ME but I'm also pretty bored of space squids and TIM.

 

Maybe their new IP will be cool? I think it's supposed to be a sci-fi, but they haven't really released anything about it yet.

As far as I know the devs said that the story of Shepard is finished. They shared some info at the Comic Con in august. Amongst others they showed the new and improved Mako and the human character model. The game will be developed in the Frostbite 3 engine. Mass Effect needs completely rebooted or kicked thousands of years into the future with an all-new cast, not a rehash of something that's almost what people wanted in a destroyed continuity.

 

Not that I really care, I think about Bioware and Mass Effect about...never, and the fact the people who made Omega are making a sequel combined with everyone resigning, I'm all out of damns to give.

I think if the game is being set between 2 and 3 it kinda shows that the ending was such a mess, that they really don't know which direction the franchise should go in. 

 

I too was hoping the next game would be set after 3, so that the franchise could finally move forward, being set between 2 and 3 almost gives that ''cash grab'' vibe since we already know how it all ends anyway.

 

But personally as long as it plays like a next-gen game and has lots of new features I might as well find a reason to be happy about it. Putting Quarian LIs like this in the game would be a plus.

I'm going to hope that their initial release of info about it being between 2 and 3 is scrapped, otherwise I'm not sure I'll pick it up. Have to see more about the game, too - I think the release date is sometime in 2016 anyway, so there's a lot of time for them to (hopefully) make it something fresh and interesting.

 

DA:I looks cool, but I'v only briefly played DA:O and DA2. I wonder if they'll do an optional info-packet type thing at the beginning of the game for people who haven't played. I may pick it up in the future, but likely not on launch.

I'm pretty glad that Andromeda is set in the future, looking forward to the new characters they will come up with.
