I hope this is an indication that we get to travel to a dwarven city. I loved Orzammar (just not the tunnels) and its culture and architecture. I would also like to see the impact of choosing Bhelen or Harrowmant to rule has on it.
Dev Diaries postponed, New picture to tide us over till then.

Just a few quotes from reading the wiki page,
It was in this age of exspansion and greatness that King Orseck Garal ruled, with his ally Edrin Stonehammer at his side. The capital of the kingdom at the time was Kal-Sharok, situated near the magocracy of the Tevinter Imperium.
Hmm... Kal-Sharok, interesting...
Kal-Sharok is one of the remaining dwarven thaigs in Thedas. It lies deep beneath the Hunterhorn Mountains, between Orlais and Anderfels.
It's in the right area for our Inquisitor to be nearish enough by to drop in for a visit. ![]()

Just to give you a heads up, the new forums seem to be a lot pickier about having a proper 3 character extension on the end of those image links.

How long does it take to edit a few videos? And why so vague about this? It's like they're intentionally trying to ****** people off.

1. Dev diary is coming next week but they want to cover their asses just in case.
2. Dev diary is not coming next week but something else is, that will be about as good or better.
3. Dev diary is not coming next week and something relatively lame is instead.
Please don't be #3. That is all ![]()
And I have no use for that dwarf pic, but I guess pics = cooler tweet. lol

I imagine there's a lot more to it than editing a few videos. They'd have to get everything that was said and done approved to be shown in order to keep secrets, and if there was something they couldn't show (even a picture behind someone being interviewed) they'd have to film and edit a whole bunch more footage.
Besides, think of your favorite youtubers, most of them say it takes at least a full day to edit their stuff, and that's just with them and their input and that's just with 15 minutes of footage, tops.
Either way, they did announce something and fail to deliver (maybe they're just as caught up in the excitement as we are), but it's not like they're pretending anything different so let's not lynch them for it.
More importantly, Kal-Sharok sounds like a really exciting place to visit (if we get the chance). The dwarves there are supposedly 'physically different' to those in Orzammar, and from the sounds of things a lot of them haven't just never been above ground, but haven't seen anything other than a dwarf before. They could even be at war with whatever king people picked to rule in Origins.
This is obviously 100% speculation fueled, but still exciting to think about.

Patience is a gift my fellow BSN'ers, you just have to wait for the dev diaries and when they're finally here you can rejoice and have a fangasm.

It's implied that they may be tainted in the world of thedas codexes but you're right, no dev diaries is sad but the picture is a nice if not tantalizing consolation prize.

It's probably #3. I'm ever pessimistic after the Bazaar and the "big" announcement that ended up being an announcement of a Facebook game that was already out.

If they recorded in front of top secret stuff or talked about a bunch of stuff that they shouldn't have and didn't notice until now then Bioware is quite incompetent...

It kind of looks like it could be an entrance. Me too, Orzammar was one of my favorite parts of Origins.

Yes! The cities were such fun and were a great change of scenery from the Deep Roads imo. I'm all for fancy stonework to ogle at ![]()

At this point i wont be surprised if the game is delayed till 2015. Actually it seems pretty likely.
Inb4 new stuff next week is nothing but a few concept arts or companion announcement.

Game is rushed, people get angry, game is delayed, people get angry, there is no winning here only whining.
The response to the game being delayed was pretty overwhelmingly positive. These are videos that they filmed quite some time ago and said over and over again, as recently as a few days ago, were coming this month. Now they're delayed and when they're actually coming is unknown. Instead we get a blurry cellphone pic of an image on a monitor and a vague promise of something else that we should like.
