Let's face it, except for Afterlife, Omega's scenery is pretty non-discript. So when Shepard says "This looks familiar" I'm like, "um, really?" Except, I just noticed that the Gozu District actually is the same in both ME3 and ME2. The same places they were burning bodies in ME2 are still on fire in ME3. (Apparently Turian bodies are the secret to Duraflame logs.) The same guard barricade is still there as is the little detour around it.

Don't know why it took me this long to recognize it. I guess because you come in from the opposite end. Plus, the bank terminal is no longer there to hack. :)

Yea i  didn't recognize it at first either. Actually i remember not getting the "This looks familiar" dialogue.

Some glitch i suppose.

But it was indeed a nice Easter Egg

I thought BioWare-whatever studio did a really nice job on Omega. In terms of level design and combat they did much better than the vanilla ME3, in my opinion.

Omega gets boring to trudge through, but I have few issues with the final mission (Battle of Afterlife) and how it proceeded and was laid out.

Once Afterlife comes into view, I was all "Yeah, let's do this." ;)

I think the 'this looks familiar' would have been helped by actually going through Mordin's clinic at the time. We're in the general vicinity of it, but, obviously, it may not necessarily click for anyone playing right off the bat. Hell, an already established clinic in the Gozu district would have been a great place for the refugees to be hiding out in, especially given Mordin's security precautions.

And, it could have been an opportunity to maybe make Malon appear if you didn't let Mordin kill him.

And Mordins assistants, I think the male assistant is the one that Mordin left it to, or rather all of them but he kind of left him in charge.

But it's likely Cerberus trashed the place when they took out all "powerhouses" of Omega.

I don't think they liked the idea of a free Clinik filled with Battle mechs.... Actualy, they might have tried to steal the battle mechs and convert them to those evil mechs.

I actually don't remember how that place looks like in ME2, but every time Shepard says that I try to remember how it looked like buy I just can't make it out. Does someone have a comparison photo or video?

I suppose you can look up the place on a Let's Play of Mordin's recruitment mission such as:

Obviously, there's a great deal of unhelpful fighting bits scattered throughout but that is the best idea I could come up with.
