I find the Indie Electronic music station on iTunes raido to go well with the space atmosphere of the game.

Albums I like to play to also include but are not limited to are:

Daft Punk: Tron Legacy
Dream Theater: Train of Thought
Porcupine Tree: Deadwing
The Sword: Warp Riders
Faunts: M4
NiN: Downward Spiral
Oceansize: Effloresce
Opeth: Ghost Reveries
Tool: Lateralus

Of corse any Pearl Jam for me is always okay

I listen to a lot of things. I have a playlist for pugging, for soloing, for team games where no one is talking, for games where I'm mad and just want to murder things, for games where I'm happy and just chucking Lift Grenades everywhere. Yup. Music while playing is a given if I'm not on my mic. Sometimes even when I'm on my mic. W/e.

It changes a lot. For a while a had a bizzare mix of Sevendust, Papa Roach, Nirvana, and a few others, but now I mainly listen to instrumentals and the occasional Volbeat song.

yeshh. i often listen to music while playing mass effect 3 multiplayer.

depends. but usually upbeat stuff that gets my blood pumping and just goes well with shooting stuff up. or something relating to mass effect somehow. sometimes angry stuff. sometimes fun.

but i discovered that while driving the mako in mass effect 1…listening to acoustic music is like the most calming thing ever. hahaha. idk why it goes with it but it does. i recommend trying it haha.

If I listen to anything, it's whatever I mysteriously hid on my Xbox hard drive. Kind of weird when songs go from things like Journey to Gorillaz.

I wish I was listen to this while playing.

I only once listened to a music while playing. That was some kind of an experiment to see, will the very loud folk music scare away pugs from my game.

It didn´t.In fact same people stayed for two more games.

Listening to music tends to kill my situational awareness.

I have a Grooveshark playlist, that me and my friends listen to while we play together or alone. Picking up a certain type of songs from the playlist that fits the playstyle we are going with for the next match is a lot of fun at times.

I also have random playlists with all kinds of "epic" trailer music for whatever feels appropriate at the time.

I listen to stuff until things start going poorly and feel like I need to take few steps back and think.

A.) I am an anomaly that does not like music overall. I like background music and the like but nothing with any voices.

B.) Music would be distracting for me, reducing my awareness of my surroundings.

I listen to music all the time when playing ME3. What I listen to depends on what's going on before or during a match. Here's a few examples:

I like to listen to conversation without participating myself. I always have a tab in youtube open, and will often switch between music and talky as I like.

Nothing is more suit than a bit of 'Two Steps from Hell' when you are the only survivor on your team and two banshees and two brutes are charging towards you.

Only when pugging or soloing - which means not very often. Then usually I have 1-4 tracks that listen to on repeat. This track is perfect for FB White with Adrenaline Rush on... also it's an awesome classic.

Haven't really done that with me3, but in tf2 I've used an odd mix of some of the soundtrack songs from battlestar galactica, frank blacks perfect day and placebo.

Disney soundtracks

Would that not be rather disconcerting?

Trying to imagine slaughtering Cerberus troops to the tune of "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo."

Hell yeah! Like some have mentioned, though; it can really get you all types murdered! But it helps make you better at the same time. For example: Phantoms, Nemesises (to a lesser extent), Praetorians and Banshees make sounds for a reason; to let you know, s**t is going down! Let's not forget: Combat Drones, Geth Turrets, Cerberus Turrets, Marauders, etc.

When you play without being able to hear: at first you might go down; but after that, you begin to scan more and make better use of checking your surroundings. Which helps a ton. Now you can talk all the s**t ya want (I do that a lot. It's a charming feature of mine), talk wit yo' buddies, listen to yo' jams, talk all the s**t ya want with your buddies while listenin' to yo' jams! And just keep kickin' all types of unholy a**!

For me:
Sometimes rap gets it done. I saw coldflame mention Two Steps From Hell, agreed! Archangel as the N7 Slayer or N7 Shadow reduces my Medigel count faster than thirty nine stealth Geth Turrets! Instrumentals from Final Fantasy: Mount Gagazet (Kimahri Ronso!) and Besaid (piano version). 80's music! I'll bust some a** to Kenny Loggins and play "The Best Around" afterwards! Isley Brothers; sometimes I kill like I'm making love. Slow, sensual, unnecessarily long to prove I'm that damn good! Of course Paramore (that song is Haley featuring you, Zedd! Get it right!), Ellie Goulding, and Florence+Machines; I love female vocalists! Especially since I sound the way I do; we cannot have two buff-a** voices in the house! Oh, ROCK! All types of it! But my favorite type: Alt! Shout-Outs to Linkin Park!

I've killed Collectors to the "Circle of Life". I made sure people heard it and I sung along!
