Oh no I wasn't either, well before me as well! xD

Just happened to be exposed to that sort of thing and it kind of stays with you. Anyway, I don't want to derail this thread, so I'll post something else to balance it out:

I listen to this when playing something like the Fury B)

Haha agreed! Well anyway, I grew up on songs like this:

:D

With all due respect to Indian culture...I can't stand the music...and spontaneous bursting into dancing.

I certain Panda won't post this. So I'll post if for her.

Fair enough, it is a cultural thing - but to be honest you only really watch the films for the songs - the plot is most of the time a million different variations on the same theme (love, family tensions, some bad character, some hero). They can't seem to think up much different, and if it is - like sci-fi - it usually sucks.

Here's what I listen to when playing a jetpack Turian

Here's one of my favorite songs to listen to while playing this game -

Any kind of heavy music is my preferred music, although lately I've been really liking the heavy bands with a female singer. It's amazing when they can scream and then switch to a soft, melodic voice.

The downside to listening to music is, I get synced about twice as frequently due to not hearing a Banshee sneaking up on me, etc.

I like the music that plays during ME3MP - It's just a shame it only kicks in during side-missions (and ends when they're completed).

If I was to play music during matches, I'd use the Resident Evil 6 Agent Hunt theme. It's become my go-to "Time to kick arse" gaming track and it suits a hell of a lot of games. You can listen to it raw, or listen to it while I punch zombies in the eyesocket with Coach from L4D2.

Once the 1:45 brief riff kicks in, gets me pumped every time, especially if something ridiculously tense is happening in-game.

I think a huge factor in my enjoyment of ME3MP is that it's a similar concept to RE5/6 Mercenaries. Pumped 450 hours into that RE6 mode alone - And I can see myself beating that timeframe in ME3 ;)

Silence usually so I can focus more on situational  awareness. The exception is when I'm taking enemies on a catch me if you can run in which case, I put on yakity sax.

On the rare occasions when I infiltrate, I enjoy listening to this silly song.  Something I did in SP one night and decided it'd help my motivation levels on MP (I'm not a very good infiltrator yet).  Cracks me up when I come out of cloak right on cue:

And yes, this dates me terribly.  But oh well, truth is truth.

Edit: the proper link would help:

For aggressive vanguard / fury play, I usually have this delightful little gem running in the background to get my adrenaline flowing:

Sadly, it's a but short, so I have to hit replay between waves.

Replace 'youtube' with 'listenonrepeat' in the address bar, and that's not a problem anymore. :)

When it comes to instrumental adrenaline, I'll always turn to Immediate Music, or maybe Two Steps From Hell. I do like the more relaxing stuff, like above - But it would never suit my gaming mood.

Play these during your extraction rounds :P

Randomly clicking through Youtube landed me on this blast from the long distant past:

And now the vocals remind me of Vorcha bloodlust, Marauder Shields and their friends.

I used to play in complete silence (outside of Game Audio + Voice Chat) for the situational awareness.

However, with my Headset fried (I can still talk, apparently, but I can't pick any audio up with it; I've changed my settings so all sounds come through my TV speakers so I can actually still hear and communicate) I've lost that edge of being able to hear enemies through walls (May the Enkindlers bless stereo sound!) and as such, am finding it better to get myself pumped, so I'm listening to music.

Lately, I've been listening to English covers of Anime songs by AmaLee on Youtube, and having fun trying to rework the lyrics to make fun of the pugs I play with.

Sample Lyrics of my own rewrite:

I was never right for the hero type of role
They give zero ****
With the pugs falling down in fear
It falls to me to pull them all off their rears

Once again, they bleed out, it's all me
And I just can't hide
My urge to snark and act snide
As I solo

But like a dream
I rose and soared
Even when I get gunned down
Or smacked around
I'll gel and be restored

Etc. It's more fun than you might think.

I always play this as a Jug on a PUG Bronze lobby. Too bad my mic is gone. I used to put it close to the speakers, and when all the pathetic weaklings fell for their EXP greed they would bask in my glory hearing pure glee.

100% efficiency and flawles victory is hard to achieve... but we can get close. When you're in that zone, this will keep you there. B)
