Does anyone listen to music as they play? If so what is it?

I'm extremely picky when it comes to music. I'm mostly listening to Dave Mathews Band these days.
Apart from that, I like to listen to Mozart, Chopin, Beethoven every now and then. Yes, I love those.
I'm not the biggest fan of the Dave Matthews Band but those douchenozzles Metallica could learn a thing or two from them. From Wikipedia:
"Dave Matthews Band allows audience members to record most live shows and permits non-profit trading and streaming of the audience recordings. The band cites college students trading these tapes in the early 1990s as a key reason for their current fame."
Apparently they even provide a seating section for those taping the show located where recording quality would be highest.
Also, if you have an Xbox 360 you should check out Eternal Sonata. Gameplay-wise it's not the best JRPG I've played but as a fan of Chopin (and music in general) it's a really cool experience. It also has some of the most beautiful artwork you'll ever see in a game.

You know, the good stuff:
Tool, Sevendust, Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Deftones, Disturbed, Mudvayne, NIN, A Perfect Circle, etc etc
Spotify doesn't have Tool
Also listen to Sevendust and Chevelle, with some early/mid-2000's Seether, Saliva, and Papa Roach sprinkled in. Some Godsmack and Sick Puppies too, but not much.

one band i've been listening to lately while playing is Killing Joke. their album MMXII is a perfect fit for the mass effect universe with some of their synth sounds. here's a song off that album:

I'm listening to a lot of Aphex Twin (Richard D James album mostly) while playing at the moment.
Selected Ambient Works 85-92 is my favourite while pugging.

I listen to music from Mass Effect 1 and 2.
It's actually kinda awesome, playing the extraction round of a tough game with the Suicide Mission track or similar playing in the background.

My playlist is pretty eclectic, but there is one song that always pops into my head whenever I'm playing a melee kit (or sometimes when I'm just having a really good game) like Krentinel or AIU:
If you haven't already you should check out Your Love Alone Is Not Enough by Manic Street Preachers. It's a duet featuring Nina Persson from Cardigans. I would have posted a video but every sight I visited including YouTube tells me "This video is not available in your location."

I find the Indie Electronic music station on iTunes raido to go well with the space atmosphere of the game.
Albums I like to play to also include but are not limited to are:
Daft Punk: Tron Legacy
Dream Theater: Train of Thought
Porcupine Tree: Deadwing
The Sword: Warp Riders
Faunts: M4
NiN: Downward Spiral
Oceansize: Effloresce
Opeth: Ghost Reveries
Tool: Lateralus
Of corse any Pearl Jam for me is always okay
I still LOVE the M4 song and I listen to it a few times a week. ![]()
I listen to music when I'm playing on PC- it varies but it's a whole bunch of
iamiwhoami
Phantogram
NiN
Brendan Canning
Ra Ra Riot
Courtney Barnett
The Neighbourhood
Garbage
Junior Prom
Fay Wolf
Empires
Alt-J
Blonde Redhead
The Ex
Goldfrapp
Doves blah blah blah blah, whole albums and lots of single tracks. It varies. ![]()

Yeah, it's unbelievably annoying to try to look up a song and realize you have to jump through hoops just to listen to it because of music licensing issues. Also when Youtube (seemingly) arbitrarily decides that you can't watch a video on a mobile device. Because reasons.
Anyway, thanks for the recommendation! I've been humming this to myself for the past hour or so. Guess I'll have to check out more stuff by Manic Street Preachers sometime later.
