Sneaky, how many chapters more do you think this story will be? I am wondering since I've only read the first 2 before deciding that for the sake of my emotional sanity That I should just wait and read it all in one sitting.

Oh god. No clue. I'd say around 20? I'm almost at the half-way point right now. I am garbage at planning out story plots, but PK and I figured it out a few nights ago, so yeah, I'd say twenty, twenty five.

NEW CHAPTER WOO

"I start running up and down the walls.
You better have Traynor seen that note.
Otherwise I can't take more than two chapters of this."

Just needed to post here, too.

Hey guys, just wanting to announce that I will be posting the first chapter of the sequel to my story, Mass Effect Pathways: Black Tides in less than two weeks. With that in mind, I decided to write up a little teaser (basically like what you'd find on the back of a book) of what is to come.

Due to spoilers for my story, I colored the text white. Highlight the space below to read it.

A year has passed since the destruction of the Darkforge. A year since the scattering of the last remnents of Cerberus. A year since Ria'Shepard became the first quarian spectre.

For Ria, now fresh of extended period of training and evaluation, it is her first chance to prove herself on a real spectre mission. Assigned to investigate a recent string of suspicious activities within one of the largest military contractors on Ilium, everything is poised for what seems to be an just another ordinary mission.

Little does she realize, greater forces are at work than just a an actions of a corrupt corporation, weaving a web of intrigue and dark secrets across the galaxy. A spreading madness twists the minds and dreams of those unlucky enough to fall under its sway, moving the pieces for in pursuit of nameless aims.

Even now a shadow looms in the loneliest depths of the universe, an eons old darkness whose whispers now echo out from the void.

Nice labour of... lurve? I left my review. I'm glad I could read without the heart-crushing drama.

I'm always skeptical about anything you write, now... >.>

It was beautiful though. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

Is there like a spoiler tag?  I wrote a historical fiction short story for a contest...didn't win...but it's the only writing i've done and I'd kind of like to share it.  But it's like 5K words long...

Thanks guys, glad you enjoyed.

That's awesome, tank. Do you mean spoiler tags for this site? Since if you'd like to post it here, I'd just put "WARNING" in bold, coloured text or something.

If you wanted to post it officially, you can go onto FictionPress and publish it there - you can even use your FF account.

I think Tank just knows it'll take too much space, so he wants it to be opened optionally behind a spoiler tag. As far as I can see, there isn't a function for it. I'd recommend either posting it on FictionPress if you didn't mind opening for broader criticism or on a Google Doc, in both cases posting a link here to redirect.

I decided to do my paper on the American eugenics movement, by the way Tank. Pretty depressing stuff, and it's really been souring my mood.

All right, thanks guys.

Wow, yeah; that's got to suck Frilly.  I'm sorry about that.  Eugenics was a pretty nasty theory when you get down to it.

If it's any consolation, here's a version of the battle of Waterloo where the good guy wins!

Nice one.

Very emotional for both.

Mass Effect Pathways: Black Tides ~ Chapter 1

This may seem totally random but I was watching this guy playing ME2 and reminiscing about the good ol' Mako as he drove the Hammerhead about. A friend said something along the lines of: 'it could scale any mountain' (paraphrased), and the player responded: 'the mountain to my heart, someone should write a song about that'

Anyway, I wrote this in about ten minutes:

When planets begin to look the same
And the debris is all that’s left.
While we scour for scattered minerals
The Mako passes the test
Oh, the Mako passes the test!

See, Wrex enjoys the ride
And Garrus can hold his food
Though Tali pukes inside
As Shep rolls the Mako crew
He rolls the Mako crew

It conquers every angle
On rough mountainous highs
And swoons asari angels
As it climbs towards the sky
As it climbs towards the sky

Remember all we’ve been through
Making killing geth an art
The ups and downs were worth it
On the mountain to my heart

Mako-o-o-o-o-o-o
Mako-o-o-o
Mako-o-o-o-o-o-o
Mako-o-o-o

The ups and downs were worth it
On the mountain to my heart

**Yup, it's pretty silly. But who doesn't love singing Mako-o-o-o-o!

Well, tell me the melody and I'll hum it in my head.

How talented do you think I am? Even if I made a proper melody, how could I convey it to you easily? Just do what I do and make it up as you go :P

Been a long time, and things are still rolling, it seems.

Glad to see the Grew still in action.  :)

Looks like there's a lot of reading material I need to catch up on.

This is completely unrelated to my other stories and such, but on the very off chance anyone enjoys Dead Space, I wrote a thing about it
