We know very little regarding the Qunari because all the previous origins were meant to act as a stereotype for what life is like for most people in Chantry controlled lands. The Qun and the people who adhere to it are only a minority and have been demonized by the Chantry for not only their beliefs but also their appearance. I look forward into any new perspective on these enigmatic but interesting people.
P.S. I hope the dialogue between my Qunari Inquisitor is likes Sten from Origins. LOL 'I don't understand you look like a woman.'

That's why I'm disappointed we're playing someone from outside the qun.  I don't feel like we're accurately seeing what makes them tick like we did for the dwarves and the elves and the mages.  Ideally, I would have liked a human commoner origin (which was cut) and an apostate origin, which probably would have been like Hawke the first few minutes after Cassandra tells Varric to quit romanticizing the story.

For qunari origins, even if they're not playable, I'd have liked one origin for a follower, one origin for someone who willingly left, and a third for someone born outside of the qun.

 I don't understand where people get the notion that "vashoth" means "oxeman born outside the qun."  They don't distinguish between race much, so wouldn't an oxeman born outside the qun be "bas," just like an elf, human, or dwarf born outside the qun?

Why would people want to play as a Qunari who follows the Qun? They wouldn't be able to make decisions in the game especially if it goes against the Qun. It just wouldn't be possible.

Had a fun idea for a qunari mage if I can ever talk my group into learning the DA tabletop.

Varric: How does a qunari end up studying at the circle of magi in Fereldan?

Inquisitor: I was left in a basket on the Tower's doorstep.  My name, "Saarabas," was painted onto the side of the basket.  The mages figured my family must have smuggled me out of Par Vollen or Seheron or someplace.  I used to think about them, what they must have given up to set me free, how much they must have risked so that I wouldn't be leashed and kenneled like an animal... *imagines qunari parents camping in the woods with an infant*

Varric: :D  :P

Inquistor: What?

Varric: Qunari don't have names as you or I know them.  They have titles.  "Saarabas" is the qunari word for "mage" and it literally means "dangerous thing."  Secondly, the qunari don't have families as you or I know them.  They reproduce for the same reason they do anything else, to satisfy a demand of the qun.  My guess, your parents were wandering tal-vashoth who sent you to the place they knew that deals with mages.  They probably didn't even know that Fereldan doesn't leash their mages.

Inquisitor: :crying:

Ok, so we need this in the game.

I'm sorry, I know that it's a bit late but we're going to have to recall the VAs because this is just needed. The game won't be complete without it.

I respectfully disagree.  We haven't met many qunari castes and what we have met have largely been soldiers, deserters, or Tallis, who is what Sten would call a priestess, a member of the ben-hasrath.

Tallis' role is "to solve."  She doesn't fight, she solves problems.  A similar caste could wind up being inquisitor.

Ariqun: the veil being torn is a problem.  Go solve it.

Inkossithor: *shrugs* Ok.

Chanter's bored: The chantry doesn't have enough health poultices!  This is a problem!  Will you bring us some?

Inkossithor: *shrugs* Ok.

NPC: Inquisitor, help!  My wife was taken by darkspawn!  This is a problem!  Will you find her?

Inkossithor: *shrugs* Ok.

Ok, so we need this in the game.

I do my best! :D
