think about it bassicly all you will have to do is farm on upgrades and do like every side quest in the game, and to gain trust of your crew all ya gotta do is save then talk to them and find out how to get on their good side, and if they get mad at you or something just load your save and try again to get their loyalty,it really dosent seem like its that hard if you ask me

Well if you do everything you can before the final mission I'm sure it can't be too difficult unless you make decisions that ding you on loyalty. and it sounds like if someone isn't loyal that doesn't mean they die. It means they don't do something potentially and that gets others killed.

That's if you just want to kiss everyone's ass. Try staying in character and finding a way to get everyone out alive.

I intend to do every quest, upgrade everything and gain max loyalty with everyone regardless of whether that affects the suicide mission or not

Depends on where you buy the game and for which platform :D

I think this explains the Suicide mission quite well. :D

Dragon Age had you playing to whatever personality you were currently talking to and removing party members when you knew something would really ****** them off coming up. I wonder if this is going to be the same way.

The impression I'm getting is that your Shep probably won't die unless you play the game incredibly half-assed, not recruiting everyone, not bothering with upgrades, not gaining loyalty. But getting the entire team out alive is probably a combination of those factors together with certain choices that you make. I doubt many will have the entire team survive their first play through, and almost certainly not if your staying true to a character.

I intend to play as much of the game as seems fun, and then let everyone die at the end. You get to play the infallible, invincible hero in every other game out there-- the potential for a 'heroic sacrifice' ending in this one makes it more unique and interesting.

(Also, my general contrarian nature leads me to root for the outcome that would most anger the game's biggest fans. I wanted Shep to die under the wreckage at the end of ME1. Andy Kaufman is my hero.)

I suppose that make everyone 'happy' with your decissios could be really difficult. Maybe a decission will please some squad members and make you untrust to others. There will be a way to achieve the 'best' ending, but I think that on a first playthrough without using a guide some people will probably die.

Yeah from what I've heard these elements play into the ending:

-loyalty
-squad members recruited
-upgrades to armour, weapons and biotic powers
-upgrades to ship
-N7 side missions completed

I think you can be pure renegade, paragon or neutral and still live.

I just hope that even if I do all side missions, recruit all party members, gain their turst and do all optinal stuff first that I still have the chance of everyone dying. I would really like it if it really feels like a suicide mission. That is to be able to die at some small mistakes during the mission.

If it happens that all (or nearly all) survive just because I am at the max level and everyone trusts me completely and I have done all side missions I wouldn't find it believing. There should still be options I have to decide and it might get people killed just because they trust me and take the risk. If he/she didn't trust me he/she would have survived... but eg something else would have gone wrong as a consequence (or not). That would be some epic endgame!! :)
