So I was reading up on some Dragon Age News the other day, and I came across part of an article that read;

“Within the Keep, you’ll be able to customize a Dragon Age historical world state to your exact specifications. How did you modify your Warden and Hawke? Who were your companions? Who did you choose to romance? Who rose to power, and who fell in defeat? What legacy did you leave?"

What does modify mean?  Does it deal with their appearances, or is it just strictly the decisions that you've made?

Probably just the decisions, maybe something more. I think I've heard somewhere that you won't be able to create your warden and hawke in the keep, can't remember where I heard it though...

AFAIK just decisions. I think I also heard that they won't be importing the appearances.

So if we see the characters at all, it won't be in full view (I hope). Go for now with just world states.

That's what I was also thinking it had to mean, because it was pretty well stated last year that there would be no Warden or Hawke appearing in DAIII.  I was just wondering why they chose to use that word to  modify which means to remake, redesign, remodle the Warden.  Especially since they already said to customize the historical world.  Sounds redundant....unless they happened to decide to allow the reappearance of the Warden and Hawke to which I had to come back to the BSN (totally confused with to find I had to go to a new modified website) and find out if that was the case or not.

They never stated that the Warden and Hawke will not appear in DAI.
The most recent update on the topic is Gaider's words. He stated that the Warden/Hawke's appearance are no longer up to discussion on the teams, so they took a final decision, regardless of which one they took.

Thanks Ria Kon.  This vid exolains that "modify" means gender and race of the Warden and Hawke, not looks.

Well, if they are thinking about having appearances of the Warden or Hawke, maybe they'll try my old idea of just allowing the players to recustomize them in-game....maybe not...

I think it's just the information, but I would LOVE to be able to modify your Warden and Hawke's appearance. I spent over 100 hours in DA:O, and my favorite thing to do was spend about 30min to an hour just creating my character. I also think it'd be great to see how my Warden would look with the new graphics.

I think it's a nice idea, especially with the issues DA:O and ultimate later had.  It would be nice to vary the storyline accordingly and then play as per your choices or for those who didn't play as to what choices they would of made.  I enjoed DA:O before it stopped working and now and then still enjoy DA2.  Can't wait for DA:I

I think it's a missed opportunity if they don't allow to customize appearance in the keep. Assuming Dragon Age games continue, couldn't they just add the current games character creator to the Keep? Or something?

Being able to have saves to tweak and export as well as stable plot flags will be great, especially considering several plot flag problems that happened to me in DA 2 (Nathaniel mistakenly dead, etc.). Still, it seems like it could be so much cooler.

I just assumed it was poorly worded and refering to modifying their choices.
