If DA:I turns out to be as good as ME3, I'll be delighted, since I greatly enjoyed (and continue to enjoy) ME3.
If it isn't good?

Personally I haven't yet played a Bioware game I didn't enjoy.I'm strongly assuming that the reason people are so upset was because Shepard is dead and I honestly think its a major over reaction to the death of a character and you are kind of throwing the baby out with the bath water. People expect happy endings all the time and sometimes they just dont fit. Killing off shepard really was the only way to end his story. Very sad but neccessary. It happens all the time in films I dont hear anybody threatening to boycot Hollywood. (unless its a Tarantino movie post Pulp Fiction.)
It wasn't like in Dragon Age 2 where they killed off a character 15 seconds into his introduction. If you are truly that bothered by their choices then vote with your wallet so to speak.

If it's bad I'll crawl under my bed and cry ![]()
Honestly, I loved DA:O and I adored DA2, so my assumption is I'll enjoy DA:I too. I haven't played any other Bioware games so I'm not what you would term 'brand loyal', but I trust that Bioware will make a game that is above average.
I think I'm pretty easy to please. I've only had one game that I disliked so much that I couldn't finish it but overall every game I've purchased has been enjoyable.
So... I'll be pre-ordering DA:I and I expect I'll be delighted ![]()

It's unbelievable, but I haven't even touched TW2. I do not know an inch of a story. I plan to upgrade my laptop significantly in the summer, and play TW1,TW2 and TW3 consecutively

I don't get this whole "what will you do if X fails", DAI isn't NME or the next Bioware franchise. DAI is it's own game, so is the newt Bioware game, and I wont judge NME based on DAI, I'll judge NME based on what NME looks.
If I plan on preordering DAI's collector edition, it's because of how DAI looks so far, not because of DA2 or DAO (didn't really enjoy either of them)

Friendly heads up - depending on your schedule and gaming habits (or both) TW1 can be a hassle to play through for story motivated players as there is So. Much. Dialogue. So much. And it doesn't help that the character models in the original Witcher looked like plastic, lifeless dolls - for a game that is fueled almost chiefly by conversation, it can be pretty distracting.
The Witcher 2 is amazing though.

I've finished TW1 a couple of times though it was like 4 years ago. Loved the combat and the storyline was interesting at least for me

tbh I am expecting it to be bad, don't get me wrong I'm hoping it will be good but DA2 and ME3 both left such a bad taste in my mouth, its hard to expect it to not be bad.

I'll pre-order DA:I same goes with next ME game. If they turn out bad. Oh well it wouldn't be the first time I bought a bad game or will it be the last time I end up buying a bad game. It happens. Not much so far of DA:I is looking to be any less than pure awesome.
Loved DA:Origins, liked DA2. Loved all of the ME games well except the last few minutes of ME3(Priority Earth to ending). I'll put that down as annoyed thru that part. SWTOR, I love and play every day and been sub since day one. Enjoy it enough to have gotten me to kick WoW to the curb after seven years. Are all of them perfect? Hell no. Every game has it's little issues. If having fun most times those little things are never noticed or can be easily overlooked.
BW will get hate no matter how good Inquisition is, can never please 100% of fans.
Pretty much exactly right.

I would be quite happy with Inquisition being comparable to ME3. You know, since it's a great game and all.

Yeah, I'm that guy.
And if I don't like the game? Eh, whatever. Wouldn't the first time, won't be the last.
