@Darth Krytie, these are the exact same sentiments I feel, Bioware have never disappointed me to the point that I wouldn't buy their games again not to say I haven't been dissapointed with some aspects of how certain games panned out, the way some people have reacted are giving the impression their heart and soul was torn out and ripped up into tiny little bits

Yes. I definitely had several suggestions when these games came out for how they could improve them...but, I still loved them. Though, they have ripped my heart and soul out into tiny pieces, but only in the best of ways...yanno, Anders...Thane. Mordin. Leandra. Every beautiful minute of the goodbyes on Earth. Anders, again.

Those goodbyes on Earth were insulting for anyone attached to ME2. The only emotion I got was "What? Seriously? That's it? What?!.."

I still can't get over it. :(

Too busy with Garrus staring soulfully into my eyes to be insulted.

That's the thing. ME3 becomes a smaller, more focused game when it came to characters. Garrus and Liara fans probably had a pretty good experience. I envy them (in a good way, that is.. not badmouthing it). It's a bad way to end such a rich universe though.. it got reduced to a popularity contest.

The thought I had is "why is everyone acting like Shepard's about to die?"

Did they read the script?

I hear you. Though, I was pretty pleased with Miranda. (And the Mirandamance.) I just feel bad for Jacobmancers. Hella sucked to be them. (I played through the Thanemance, and actually liked it.)

Yeah, I pity the Jacobmancers. I was with Jack.. I suppose she got her due with Citadel DLC, but still. I still don't like the way the went about it in the main game. This was their world and their characters, after all. Not mine. I want them to care about their own stuff, not just me. That's what I don't get. Why am I passionate about it, but not them apparently? lol

I wasn't that disappointed with the Jackmance? But Jack was never my lady love the way Miranda was and certainly never came close to my Garrus torch. I do see where you're comin' from, though. I liked Jack's better than Tali's.

lol, I just noticed how hella off-topic we're gettin'. Hit me up in pm, if you wanna continue.

Jack has a better excuse for not being around than Miranda, but less scenes that kind of meander nowhere. It's a stark cry from where it left off from the last game though.

I think they actually had Jack planned on the squad (hence her appearance revamp), when there was a whole different story where Liara or the VS could get killed by Kai Leng on Thessia (hence, losing Liara would get you another biotic). Javik had a different part in this as well. But then they had to cut alot of things due to time constraints. So maybe it can just be blamed on that. Technical difficulties.

Anyways, don't mean to derail. I'm kind of over ME3 now.. it bothered me for awhile though.

If it's not good, I'll just hold out hope for Mass Effect 4.

If Inquisition ends up becoming Dragon Age's "Mass Effect 3", what will you do? Will you still have faith in Bioware?

I'm not asserting it'll be good or it won't be good, just curious.

As for myself, if DA:I flops as badly as ME3 did, I think by then I'd lose hope in Bioware's future installments.

Same. I would no longer even think of preordering anything from them and even if the reviews are good, I would only but it on sale like I did with DA2 for under $9.

The leaked script outline doesn't support this. Even when Thessia worked that way, Jack's role was exactly the same as it was in the finished game.

As long as the ride's good, the destination doesn't matter so much(unless it's a slaughter house, then it matters), that's why I didn't mind the DA2 ending so much. ME3 might've had not such a great ending, but I'm still looking forward to what's to come next, ME4 to fans for now. Then again, I never finished ME3 so I don't know exactly how bad the ending really is.

It takes a little more for me to loose faith in an entire group of people. So if the entire game is bad, I'll be a bit upset, but it will not keep me from trying their other games. If only the ending is bad, I might get annoyed, but I'll quickly get over it and move on.

I'm more or less the same.

What I would like to add ks that people are missing the whole ME3 criticism stating that it was a great game with a crappy ending. No. Ending was an epitomy of the tendency running its course throughout the game. There were about 2-3 highlight spikes. Tuchanka to name one. It was so good that it shamed the rest of the game. ME3 was inconsistent, redundant in many ways, lack of cohesive determined storyline. It suffered from many aspects minor and grand alike. It was a good game though. The whole problem was  it did not uphold the high standard of storytelling set by previous titles.

DA2 was even worse.

That is why I will wait for the opinions from the sources I trust before shelling out for DAI

Why read it then? :) masochist much?

Yup. DA2 it seemed at times during the story  Biff the Understudy should of stepped in for me. The Krogan and the Gith portion were excellant the rest almost put me to sleep.

Same here. But I am not sure how a Mass Effect 4 would be possible, given how the ending of ME3 utterly destroyed the possebility of it.

A prequel could work, i suppose.

I've thought all of Bioware games I have played have been really good, but have had flaws.

I loved Origins, even really liked DA2, I actually have more playthroughs of DA2 than DAO. So I'm fine with the DA series....no complaints. DAI will be an instant preorder for me when I find out I can order it.....on the PS4 and the PC. You can call me a DADrone. I'll be preordering just so my anticipation blood pressure goes down.....

ME:Next? after the bitterness I feel about how fan reaction was handled in the press and by BW/EA (I consider ME3 one of Biowares better AND worst games)......it won't be a preorder....unless the plot information somehow really grabs me....(I do miss the ME universe)....I will likely buy it.....but after fan reviews/summaries get online.

Not really. They each had their moment, and considering the fluidity of the characters being alive, dead, DLC and what have you, it made sense to see them where they were if you ask me.

There are so few FRPG's brought out these days that I will buy the next one they produce even if I am not thrilled with this one. After all an average fantasy role play game is better than an epic first person shooter or driving game(IMHO).

Gotta love fan boys. Assuming everything will be great after seeing a bit of video and a few stills. Seriously delusional. The only time we will know jack, is when the game is released and not before. Is it bad? is it good? NOT a single person here knows. I personally will wait till after launch, to see what all the paying Beta testers make of it. Then & only then will I POSSIBLY buy the game. Yes I will forgo whatever rubbish day 1 dlc they offer. I trusted them on ME3 and got a half assed game IMO, never buying day 1 off these guys ever again.

Yet your fine coming on their boards to talk about games that are 3/4 of a year away from release?  Hmmmm....I smell a pre order.

Actually, it didn't matter who it was.  If it was Jack or whomever your favorite was, you would have probably been fine with it and the Liara and Garrus fans would have been pissed.  It's all perspective.  As someone else said, people get to a point in that series where they head cannon their perfect conclusion and story focus and when it doesn't go the way they were expecting, it turns the game into "meh" for them.
