Ok, maybe the question is stupid, but I'm just an old noob here, so have patience.

I'm not the greatest player out there, but I'll try to do everything that is possible for the match (play the best I can, use medigel and missiles if necessary, revive others, etc.).

Anyway, I was playing a match, it was a PUG team, but with at least 2 very experienced players besides me, with very good gear, etc.

In the 5th or  6th wave everybody is surprisingly flat lined, except me. I try my best and manage to take care of a phantom, an engineer and an Atlas and there's only a nemesis for me to kill. I shoot her with my carnifex (X) but she doesn't die. I shoot and shoot again and nothing. So a guy starts laughing and saying something. I decide to leave.

Was the match hacked?

PS: I also tried biotic explosions and nothing.

Probably just a bug.  Next time, try a missile before leaving.  Occasionally it is just almost invincible, and simply takes almost no damage, which means it just takes a very long time to kill, and sometimes it is completely invincible and there is nothing you can do about it.  If it is just ALMOST invincible, the missile won't kill it, but it will do a noticeable amount of damage, in which case, just keep fighting.

PC?

If not, some characters get stuck in the map even though they don't look stuck.  Was she moving?

I don't think so. Some of the enemies will randomly become God Like and you know.. not die. It's a bug/glitch... I dunno. All you have to do is to make them fall under the map. Kite them to an elevated area and they will just fall and appear in the kill feed.

3 days ago, I've seen an invincible Marauder and an invincible Geth Hunter in 2 seperate games. Not even missiles could take them out.

Sometimes the enemies will just fall through the map and die after some time.

I guess it was just a bug.

I agree, sometimes it happens, it's just a network issue. Enemies don't take damage or the life points decrease only once in a while. Often this kind of issues manifest themselves along with lag problems such as running on the same place, sudden movement of the character inside the map, inability to recharge, etc.

If the map was reactor then you probably should have shot the enemy spawn point ( the top of the whole reactor room from where support structures originate ) or some times only non projectile powers work

When in doubt, heavy melee. It does help with invincible enemies when they are stacked on top of each other on FB Reactor.

Many times when this happens, the enemy in question is not invincible ... there seems to be a delay between the killing blow landing and the enemy falling over dead .. I have seen it take anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 minutes before the killing blow is registered

LOL. Invincible enemy glitch, get them to use a ladder or mantle cover and they die. You can sometimes make a grabable enemy invincible by sliding into perpendicular cover while pulling them over. Absolutely hilarious with Hunters and unshielded Guardians as they will wipe whole teams out. Basically the enemy desyncs with the board.

Sometimes (especially on Reactor) enemies get stuck in the roof-top spawn spots, but still look like they're on the field. In which case you have to kinda guess where they actually are, which is usually somewhere directly above where they seem to be. Area damage weapons are a lot better for this, obviously, but a lot of powers are pretty useless since they won't lock on to the real location.

That's why it's important to pay attention to where enemies actually spawn. They jump down from the roof on Reactor, they can get stuck on the balconies on Glacier and White, sometimes they get stuck under the ledges on Giant, etc.

Was it moving? If yes, make it fall though a ramp/stairs, if not sometimes enemies can be frozen on your screen, but are actually somewhere else.

Usually the host can see where the enemy actually is on Reactor but yeah generally they are just above where they appear to be.

Yes, PC and she was moving.

Anyway, so the match wasn't hacked and I should have tried more to kill her. My bad.

Thank you for the answers.

Sometimes there are certain enemies that only the host can kill, for some reason.  Usually, they are "frozen" enemies.  It happens a LOT on Reactor.  If you weren't hosting, you're SOL.  Leaving the match is probably the best thing you can do for the other players, since they will get to start the wave over.  You could ask the host to send you a request to join the match as soon as you leave, and hopefully you'll get back in before the system puts another PUG in your place.

Every once in a while, an enemy will become completely invincible.  I've only seen this happen with Hunters, an I have only seen it twice.  Missiles worked both times for me.  Although I've heard that you can kill them by over-cover grabbing or heavy melee - I've never tried it.

I had an issue the other day doing a duo with Kocka007 from here and apparently one of the enemies got "grabbed" while climbing over cover and didn't die. The only way we were able to get him to die (fall through the map) was to get him to try to climb over another piece of cover.

I had that happen in a match this morning. A nemesis just would not die for ages. Emptied 2 shotgun clips into her face and not one shield bar dropped. Then she just fell off a ladder and disappeared. It's a really weird glitch tbh

Yes, its a bug that makes enemies sometimes immune to damage. For me i have mainly seen it on FB Reactor.

Powers/Melee help. Also do know that even the best players have their off days too.

This happens occasionally and the way to deal with this glitch is to kill the enemy with a dot effect power like dark channel, reave, incinerate etc

If no one has a dot power than the only option is for the host to quit and let the others redo the wave and try to complete the match.

Or you can wait a minute or two for the enemy to drop dead/disappear...

I don´t think someone would bother with coalasced to make just one Nemesis invincible.

It was just a glitch.

Could be the one where the enemy just dies randomly after a while.
Or the one where it shows they are just stood there, when they are actually stood on spawn points on beams above the map.

Reactor is bad for that glitch - worse if you've got someone with Stasis on the team - 2 for 1 on invincible enemy glitches - Huzzah!
