In addition to BioWare's policies on this site, the mods and I are asking that all of you review and follow these group rules.
Note: the following rules all operate under this warning system - you will get one warning and one reminder of that warning. Any additional infractions will result in a full ban*
*provisional bans for special cases. This is, however, the 1% of all cases, and provisional or temporary bans will only be used in special circumstances.
1. MODS
If the mods (or I) ask you not to do something, please listen. You will get one additional warning, followed by a ban if you do not modify or stop a specific behaviour. If you believe we are being rude or unreasonable, take it up with us. However, this does not give you the right to continue your behaviour even if you're having a problem with a mod. We want a healthy environment for the group and disrespecting a mod will not be tolerated.
2. OTHER MEMBERS
The same applies for your fellow group members. Rude, derogatory, or inappropriate comments directed at another member will result in ban if you persist after being asked to stop. Joking around is one thing, but if you are upsetting someone, stop.
Respect other people's opinions. We are a large, opinionated bunch, and we all have the right to voice our ideas in a non-inflammatory way. You are not required to agree with everyone, but you cannot put someone down for their views. Debating is allowed, arguing is not. Know the difference.
3. POSTING
A few things cover this topic:
A ) Language
Use appropriate language. We won't be enforcing the no-swearing rule as strictly as BioWare**, but cusses are asked not to be used excessively. Everyone has bad days and are welcome to vent or ask for support, but do not go overboard. Vulgar language such as racial, homophobic, or sexist comments will not be tolerated in any form.
Also, respect the English language. Lazy or poor grammar is confusing and frustrating. Proof-read posts before posting them. If English is not your native language, this will not be enforced as strictly; after introducing yourself to the group, note in that introductory post that you are not a native speaker, and this rule will be dropped for you.
**subject to change. If enough conflict is brought about by vulgarity, this rule will become more strict and have more conditions applied to it. Interpretation of what constitutes vulgar language and/or behaviour is left to the mods. If you have a problem with one of them, contact either me, the mod in question, or an alternate mod.
B ) NSFW (inappropriate)
If you want to flirt or have an intimate conversation with someone, do it over PM. It's no one's business who you want to sex up but your own - please keep it that way.
Additionally, if a group member is harassing you, please seek out a mod and tell them - we will handle it with discretion.
C ) Pictures
Posting pictures only is not allowed - if you are posting a picture, tell the group why. We will open up a picture thread that allows you to post only pictures, but it is forbidden outside of that thread. This is a BioWare-enforced rule, and you face the admins of this site if you do not follow it.
This also ties into NSFW. In addition to no pic-only posts, this goes doubly for sexually explicit pictures - any posts of that nature are strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated in any form.
4. BIOWARE'S RULES
You must, of course, follow any rules BioWare enforces on this site. If you are not sure about something or are afraid of potentially breaking the rules, here is the link to BW's rules and regs: http://forum.bioware...c/3-site-rules/

In addition, BioWare employs a strict no-trolling policy. Not only will you be looking at a ban from this group with such behaviour, you may also be banned from the site altogether by BioWare moderators.
