Why do all of your romance plots have to crap on straight female PC's so much?

 

How come a straight girl can't have a single, solitary good partner or healthy relationship?

 

Yeesh. Having to make your boyfriend do the horizontal boogie with and knock up another woman, having your boyfriend decide that a bunch of Spanish crooks are more interesting than you, having a terrorist boyfriend, or having a boyfriend who is icy and distant and wants nothing to do with you most of the time. Oh, and doesn't know how to read.

 

Oh, and in ME, straight male characters had a choice of SIX women during the series. All of them remain loyal, and alive, until the end. But a straight female only gets four, and only two of those actually stay with the PC through to the end. One dies, and another quickly gives into an offensive racial stereotype, knocking up another woman and dropping you like burnt toast because you were away for 6 months.

 

Seriously? This sucks. Being a lesbian is so much easier. 1000x less headaches and stupidness.

 

Is this game going to change the tune, or keep playing the same song?

Uh, I'm personally not so familiar with the female romance arcs so I'm not the best of judges on this. However, I've always felt that any of the available romance options in Bioware games has their own reason for being special. 

 

Straight guys picking Isabella don't have an easy time either, as she's pretty much willing to have sex with any guy she sees, with the Zevran mission being one of the lowest points I've ever seen in that respect.

Kaiden + Garrus are great. The only two good male LI's in ME.

 

Alistair either dumps you or has to put a loaf in another woman's oven. And either way, is nowhere to be found in Awakening and no explanation is offered for his disappearance.

 

Zevran is less interested in you and more interested in the Spanish mafia.

I do agree with you that straight female PCs get less options which sort of sucks. However I only noticed this in the ME series... TBH I really can't recall there being an uneven number in DA.

Or Alistair sacrifices himself to save you? Have you always made him king? And I think don't think so about Zevran.
