I love Cassandra's look. But then I have a thing for beautiful women, with strong, typically masculine features.

I'm fine with Varric's. I'm neither happy or upset about it.

I think while we're getting much closer to the final design, I agree here.  I'm betting there will still be some little tweaks here and there up to Convention Season (i.e late spring-summer.)  I look forward to seeing more.

 

By the way, I think I've seen some concept art around that has Varric looking like he's got some grey in his hair.  I'd be down to see that.  I think it would look stately on him.

I actually like the progression of her design ever since she was first revealed for the game. Her design has been tweaked, along with Varric -- They look better than how they did back when they were first announced.

Cassandras eyes don't look as intense as they did in DA:O. We haven't seen her question anyone yet though, so they could be alright.

The redesign bothers me but mostly because it's change. Not because the designs themselves are bad. It's like, I already had a journey with these characters. I got to know Varric and Cassanrdra for over seven "years!" Changing their physical appearence is just pretty jarring to me.

 

It always throws me off when games do this;.

I have absolutely no problem with Cassandra's new look, I like it very much and it wasn't the least bit unsuspected that they'd Change her look a little since she had a rather small roll in DA2.

 

Varric Looks as handsome as ever, though I really hoped they would turn his haircolor back to blonde somewhere along the line. I don't know, he just looks weird with this reddish brown hair, I got really used to him being blonde and it fit him just perfectly imo.

I think Cassandra looks pretty hot, she's exactly the kind of girl I'd go for -  strong and resilient (or masculine if that's what you wanna call her) and, IMHO pretty hot ( for that same reason I wanted to romance Aveline and still don't understand why people call her ugly. I think she had 16495416% more character than all the other companions /ok, maybe not that much, but you get my drift/ ) 

 

As for Varric.... he looks basically the same, or at least as similar as the engine allows. The hair colour though.... yeah, change it back. Dirty blond goes with Varric as much as Bianca.

Varric who was goofy and idiosycratic looking now looks like he should be on the cover of Dwarves GQ.

 

Casandra, who was rather attractive, now has a giant mouth and almost caricature look to her (strange eyese, elongated face).  Though something seems to have been lost between the drawing and the 3D model.  Same thing happened to Morrigan.  And I don't thinki this is Frostbite's fault, rather the 3D artist who did the faces.

 

It's almost as if they reversed roles, except it made sense for dwarves to have slightly caricatured faces.  Unfortunately I think I am a lone voice here as people will squee over good looks regardless of whether it fits. 

 

 

Ah well, still looks to be an awesome game, but I dislike the redesigns of these characters.

Her jaw is pure sex. I'd prefer if they leave her just how she is now.

 

 

She's much more attractive now and also has defined features, than in DA2 where she had a "generic" face.

I don't get why you people say they "changed" her face. What i see is that they improved her face, made her more recognizable.

 

That being said, i can't wait to see the other companions.

Cassandras would of been better with longer hair. I like my women with longer hair. In her movie, she had long hair, but kept it in a pony tail.
