Hi Mods,

I go to this topic and I can't post here.

http://forum.bioware...n-dark-fantasy/

It says I cannot reply here.  This is a feedback subforum of DAI.  Checked other feedback topics.  Same problem

Whereas, Scuttlebutt subforum replies are no problem.

I know it's not my status.  I have way more posts than many who post there.

Please advise.

Thank you!

Seeing the same. I think the forum locking system is still running on some delays, so it probably is just a bug. Also noticed the ME3 forums are giving me a lock now, when the site first started there didn't seem to be anything stopping me from posting there if I had wanted to. This saddens me a bit, I was really hoping that system had been left behind at the old bsn.

I'm able to reply there, not sure why you two aren't. That's rather odd.

Me too :(

I'm locked out of all the gated subforums and I have every non legacy Bioware game sitting in my Origin account.  It's the weirdest thing.  A while ago a dev said he'd look into it but as I haven't heard anything more yet, I'm assuming it must be more complicated than I first imagined.

It's good to know it's not just me though, I was beginning to feel left out!

You're better off PM-ing BioWare with this issue.  On the outside chance this is a browser issue, please post your Browser Version.

Thanks for the interest.   :)

If anyone does contact someone, point them to this thread so that visibility for all those that are affected can be addressed.

I'll make sure to point this to Brian in the morning too.

Getting the same here. I can't post in Origins or am I just being thick?

Hi all - I know Jesse has looked into this for a few specific people, but I'm not sure if there is an identified system cause or fix.

For those of you who can't post, can you confirm that you could do so on the BSN, using the same Origin login as you own the games with?

Have you actually played the games you can't post for, and tied them to your profile, or do you only have them purchased and sitting in Origin?

judging by the game icons underneath some of the usernames I'd say they were registered.

Those icons only link to a gamer profile, which in *theory could be tied to any account, and some don't have them.

I agree, that shouldn't be the issue, but I'd like to make sure our programmers have the best info for possible causes.

I did a quick audit of what I can and can't do.

In each Scuttlebutt subforum - I'm fine.

It's in the all other subforums - for story, feedback etc. - that I am blocked.

In reply to your question.

First, yes - this account of zMataxa is the one and only account I had for owning/registering the games.

This is copied from the legacy BSN profile.

Your registered game content

Origin Account Associations

The Origin account that you are currently logged in to on the BioWare Social Network has the following services/console accounts associated with it.

Origin ID: None
Xbox Gamertag(s): None
PSN Name(s): None
Nintendo Network ID(s): None

I have access to post in ME3 Game Owner Only Forum: No (Need Help?)
Played while logged into this Origin Account? No

Both DAO ultimate and DA2 were registered, bonus DLC was downloaded and activated.

But I did not play online.

Is there another step I need to take to fully tie these games to my profile?

I have a suspicion that the "did not play online" is the part that is at fault - is there any chance you can try that to see if it corrects things? (if so, it might take an hour or three to show).

Is this true for the rest of you as well?

For tying the games to your profile, if they show as listed under the "Games" section of your profile, you *should be ok.  If they don't show, it would be a symptom of the issue you've already reported (not being able to post).

As a seperate note, for those of you who don't have them, but did play online, you will need to manually link to your BSN profiles for each title, under the "My Settings" section of your profile in order for the icons to appear.  That should not affect access to forums, however.

This is copied from my Games profile.

Games

The data is refreshed automatically every 180 minutes.

  • −  Dragon Age 2

  • −  Dragon Age: Origins

  • −  Mass Effect 2

  • −  Mass Effect 3

However I still can't post.

Time is a quite short these days for me.

So for now,  I'll have to see if others resolve this issue by playing online to complete the tie-in.

Or perhaps the programmers will find the issue?

what does "played online" mean? connected to my DA account while playing the game?

Yes, being connected to the internet, and signed into your EA / Origin account while playing.

Interesting question.

I assumed the full meal deal.

Computer is online, fire up the game, make sure share data with Bioware/EA is activated.

I can say, I did sort of Play Online.  The Black Emporium DLC for DA2 required me to allow the game to authenticate it's use for every session.

But I don't normally play with any internet enabled, so I'd usually disable internet after Black Emporium authentication.

Is "make sure share data with Bioware/EA is activated" a key component?

I have the same problem as the OP. My consoles are always offline, but I did play ME3 online once on a public console for the purpose of registering it on the old BSN forums (and won't be doing that again). All of my other games were registered before connecting to Origin was a requirement.

This is how it's listed on my profile page of the current Bioware Forums:

  • −  Dragon Age 2
  • −  Dragon Age: Origins
  • −  Mass Effect 2
  • +  Mass Effect 3

I can post in all of the ME forums, but not in DAO's and DA2's forums except for Scuttlebutt and News & Announcements. I also can't post in DAI's Feedback & Suggestions, which is strange because that game's not even out yet. I've had those games registered to BSN for over two years now and was able to post in the forums over there. If being online is the new requirement, then I guess I'm permanently locked out of those forums, but I hope there's another solution.

As far as the DAI sub forum, is that one locking us out because of a glitch or is access tied into DA2 & Origins?

I don't think I ever used online features either with my 360. I didn't even remember having an Origin account until last week & I don't know if I have anything tied to it. I don't want to use Origin, so I'll accept being locked out for now. I may try to get everything tied in correctly later, I'd been planning to message Jesse about a badge issue once the forum had settled a bit from the move & you guys have less to deal with. I may just do everything then.

That would be my best guess. Feedback & Suggestions is one of the subforums I can't post in for DAO and DA2 as well.
