Hi Mods,

I go to this topic and I can't post here.

http://forum.bioware...n-dark-fantasy/

It says I cannot reply here.  This is a feedback subforum of DAI.  Checked other feedback topics.  Same problem

Whereas, Scuttlebutt subforum replies are no problem.

I know it's not my status.  I have way more posts than many who post there.

Please advise.

Thank you!

If anyone does contact someone, point them to this thread so that visibility for all those that are affected can be addressed.

I'll make sure to point this to Brian in the morning too.

Hi all - I know Jesse has looked into this for a few specific people, but I'm not sure if there is an identified system cause or fix.

For those of you who can't post, can you confirm that you could do so on the BSN, using the same Origin login as you own the games with?

Have you actually played the games you can't post for, and tied them to your profile, or do you only have them purchased and sitting in Origin?

Those icons only link to a gamer profile, which in *theory could be tied to any account, and some don't have them.

I agree, that shouldn't be the issue, but I'd like to make sure our programmers have the best info for possible causes.

I have a suspicion that the "did not play online" is the part that is at fault - is there any chance you can try that to see if it corrects things? (if so, it might take an hour or three to show).

Is this true for the rest of you as well?

For tying the games to your profile, if they show as listed under the "Games" section of your profile, you *should be ok.  If they don't show, it would be a symptom of the issue you've already reported (not being able to post).

As a seperate note, for those of you who don't have them, but did play online, you will need to manually link to your BSN profiles for each title, under the "My Settings" section of your profile in order for the icons to appear.  That should not affect access to forums, however.

what does "played online" mean? connected to my DA account while playing the game?

Yes, being connected to the internet, and signed into your EA / Origin account while playing.

That would be my assumption - that it is being tied to owning a DA product.

So far it sounds like the offline play is the most likely factor.  I've got a bug in for this now, and can discuss it with production / development when we have triage again tomorrow morning, to see if there's any easy fix we can provide other than having everyone having to file help tickets or something similar..

Thanks for the help everyone.

Hey guys, this is next on my list to get to the bottom of. The first was to fix the 10 second loading times some people were getting on the more busy categories and that has just been fixed.

There are a few people, like Sister Goldring, who do have the flags we are checking for but aren't getting the groups added to their account. I'll do some tests Monday and see what I can come up with.

Hey guys,

I'm the only one in the office now, but I'll flag people first thing tomorrow morning and find out what's going on. There shouldn't be game permissions for DAI subforums since *none* of us own the game yet ;)

Sit tight and I'm so sorry if any of you are prevented from posting!!

\We've QA'd this issue and it had to do with online entitlements for games. You still need to have gone online for certain games to post in some forums in Mass Effect 1,2,3 and Dragon Age: Origins / II but you should no longer have any issues being blocked from posting in any of our subforums in Dragon Age Inquisition.

There was another, unrelated change to the game listing which should explain why other games are not showing.  If you are missing games that used to have a "+", that's a problem, but games you had "-" for before are now being hidden.

Your ME3 access shouldn't be affected going forward from that change.

I believe there is still another possible fix tied to this being worked on, for user who should be able to post but who cannot.

The issue with not being able to post in DA:I should be corrected for everyone, however.

And for those who asked, I don't know of any news regarding the online requirement at present.  That would be a call made by some other people on the team (I just break things :) )

I can, but they're unfortunately out of the office for a few days.  Once they get back I can take this up with them again.

No problem :) Sorry for the hassle this has caused some of you; hopefully we can get any technical issues tied to this sorted out, sooner than later.

If you have multiple emails used for your gamer profiles on a console, these forums, or your PC Origin client, EA's technical support may be able to link them for you if you ask.

They should show up within a few hours at most, once you've played online while signed into Origin with them, and will be listed in your profile under "Games".  The icons won't actually show until you manually link your game profiles from the old BSN to your account here, under the "My Settings" section of your profile :)
