Update: Now my profile only lists ME3 (still with the + symbol), but now all the others have disappeared.
That's not a good sign. Is ME3 going to disappear too because I've only played it online once and won't be doing so again?
Bug? Why can't I reply...?

There was another, unrelated change to the game listing which should explain why other games are not showing. If you are missing games that used to have a "+", that's a problem, but games you had "-" for before are now being hidden.
Your ME3 access shouldn't be affected going forward from that change.

That's good to know. At least I can still post in the ME forums then.
What about games that I've never played online? Are there any plans to fix that?

\We've QA'd this issue and it had to do with online entitlements for games. You still need to have gone online for certain games to post in some forums in Mass Effect 1,2,3 and Dragon Age: Origins / II but you should no longer have any issues being blocked from posting in any of our subforums in Dragon Age Inquisition.
Thank you very much to the team for having dealt with this quickly!
Great that DAI subfroum are now open totally.
As for other registered games, is the online requirement a temporary feature or permanent?

So I have DA2 on origin now and I played online and it still isn't working. ![]()
I will admit that this is an embarrassing thing to ask but is there a specific trick to getting it to register that you do have the game? Its on my origin account but this website doesn't seem to recognize it.
Edited for more info! So I was able to get it to register as a badge at least and I played the game in origin and let it have access to the internet and its still not letting me post in Dragon Age 2 forums. I feel like I'm missing something pretty basic here, or is it still just glitched?

I don't know. Out of curiosity I just posted into DA2 forum (story&characters, Anders thread) and it worked. I had not played DA2 for ages and I did not even link my BSN profiles to the new forum. I've also posted in ME2(scuttlebutt) and ME3 (customization-party members).
Either it had already been fixed somehow, or I'm not affected by the bug.

I believe there is still another possible fix tied to this being worked on, for user who should be able to post but who cannot.
The issue with not being able to post in DA:I should be corrected for everyone, however.
And for those who asked, I don't know of any news regarding the online requirement at present. That would be a call made by some other people on the team (I just break things
)

I hope that helps some! To be honest I'm kinda clueless with a lot of technology stuff so I was so sure I had somehow managed to mess my ability to post up all by my self lol! Anyway thanks a bunch for getting this thread started! I was debating where to go to ask about this and worried I'd just look goofy so it was a huge relief to find out that it's being addressed and others have noticed it as well.

Thanks for the answers and keeping us informed. Is there any way you could forward the question about online requirements to the team that works on this sort of thing?

I can, but they're unfortunately out of the office for a few days. Once they get back I can take this up with them again.
Great, thanks again. ![]()

I'm having the same problem, unfortunately. I thought it may have been that I'm new and I wasn't permitted to post in certain areas (it might be the case anyway, I'm not sure). If it is a bug, I hope it gets fixed soon! I'd really love to jump into the discussions that I've been eagre to have.

Welcome to the forums. ![]()
I don't know if this is still true of the new site, but on old BSN it was said that new users need to wait 24 hours to post if they played a game using Origin or 30 days to post if they haven't. (Here's a link to the thread, scroll down to post #14 by Ninja Stan.)
Are you able to post in the "Scuttlebutt" forums? Those aren't restricted by game registration, and neither are the DAI forums (because the game's not out yet).

Ah, I see. Thank you for showing this to me. I play all my Mass Effect games on my PS3, so that might be an issue with me being able to post in those forums :/ I'm able to post in the Scuttlebut forums, yes (thankfully).

Your game system of choice shouldn't make a difference if you've played online while connected to your Origin/BioWare account. If your consoles are always offline like mine are, then that's the problem - many forums require the game to be registered to your account, which can only be done by playing online now. We're currently waiting to find out if there is a solution to this.

Ohh.. Well, I'm actually using a different email address because the one I had for Origin/PSN wasn't working for some reason (I think my PSN is actually different from my computer Origin (I play The Sims)). I've played all three Mass Effects (2 at least two times/3 about three times and the multiplayer over sixty hours at least).

Many people had this problem when ME3 first came out as well. I only played online once, on a public console, and the emails that I used (for my BSN account and my one-time Xbox Live use) didn't match either... but for some reason, it worked. I think I had to sign into one of EA's sites with my BSN info before I could play, so maybe having both accounts online at the same time helped them sync up better. I don't know. I don't have a lot of tech skill. When these things work out, I don't ask why. ![]()

If you have multiple emails used for your gamer profiles on a console, these forums, or your PC Origin client, EA's technical support may be able to link them for you if you ask.

Thanks, I actually googled my problem and it seems I'm going to have to unlink my PSN profile from my old Origin account that I made when I played The Sims 3 with my new one. So much work
I was able to register my Mass Effect 2, DAO and DA II copies on the old BSN, though I'm waiting for it to show up on here. It wouldn't let me register my DAO Ultimate, however. It's probably linked to my old Origin account, though.

They should show up within a few hours at most, once you've played online while signed into Origin with them, and will be listed in your profile under "Games". The icons won't actually show until you manually link your game profiles from the old BSN to your account here, under the "My Settings" section of your profile ![]()
