Hello ahsari,
What character, build, weapon, and ammunition did you use? Who were your squadmates, and which squadmate was incapacitated at the start of the battle?

Yeah. After you figure out the tricks, he isn't bad. The last part on the ship exterior where you fight the waves while the door is decrypted is probably the hardest part of that DLC.

Once you know the sequence, the waves aren't too bad. You know just where to position your squad as the next wave arrives. After that, just keep shooting the lightning rods and casting biotics like singularity and slam. I found that this is a case where rank 2 on slam is good because they rise up high enough to be caught in the slip stream. With rank 1 they sometimes don't get carried off. (Obviously, I am fond of bringing Miranda on this mission.)
I found the SB fight on Insanity to be rather difficult, or at least long. He would generally get a few shots in before I could get to my next cover position. Also, I couldn't always get a targeting lock while circling round his terminal. I would cast a drone and nothing would happen, or cast incinerate and miss. There are a few spots in the back area where its hard to target him, depending on where he is. On my last playthrough he really had it in for Liara. Keeping her in the fight required at least two medi-gel.

From easiest to hardest:
Vanguard: Charge, then shotgun to face. Charge's cooldown is short enough so that even when you get shot you won't die.
Sentinel: Stand out of cover and shoot him until he dies. Tech armor when your shields go down.
Soldier: Adrenaline rush then shoot him in the face.
Infiltrator: Cloak will make him ignore you and target Liara. Shoot him in the back, he will turn around, then have Liara warp him while you cloak. Repeat.
Engineer: Drone and Liara's warp will ensure you won't ever get targetted.
Adept: Singularity will distract him, but only for awhile. Have Liara stand by with warp.

.So ,last evening i was ready for it . Fighting the Shadow Broker on insanity level. I am counting on an epic fight. And i just have to invest a few hours before beating this monster alien. So after beating him all i can say is that it was a cakewalk. I mean, it took me about 10 to 15 minutes to defeath him. It's goddamn easy. It is fair to say that he has no biotic powers . Only a shield and a gun. And ofcourse his charge . The charge is damaging. So i just avoided that. And that is that.
Hello , sorry for my late response. Well i play as an adept. I use singularity and warp. I also use warpammo ,this is my bonuspower. My teammate was Grunt. Even with his barrier up Grunt was taken down. I died once and i had to revive Liara once. If you want to know what " trick" i used , just let me know !!Hello ahsari,

I know, right? The Shadow Broker was almost...disappointing. Vasir was tougher than him.

Yeah, on insanity you die a lot. Cover is your best friend. And teammates matter now. Don't you think ?
No, it's still very easy.

I have trouble with both fights on insanity. usually do adept runs, followed closely by vangaurd with assult rifle. I am awful with shotguns.
Vasir is easy. lvl 1 stasis, then melee till my arm is sore and repeat. Her engineers are harder. The drones are a pain in the rump.
Shadow Broker...isn't hard, really. Shepard always(yes, ALWAYS!) seem to end up crouching agaist something by accident, when I am trying to flee/reposition. By the time the animation ends and I get back out of cover I am shot to bits, or run down. I suck at CQC since the game won't let me bite ears and poke at eyeballs.

The drones are a pain in the rump.
Use Stasis on the drones. It will kill them without any further ado. If both you and Liara have Stasis (and I would give Liara 1 point in Stasis) then Shepard can Stasis one drone while Liara hits the other. Problem solved.
Stasis works well on Vasir: cast Stasis on her and then run up and pummel her. Helps if you have melee mods for your armor. With the Kestrel gear you can get up to +45% melee damage. I always bring Miranda to this fight. Her Warp can be used on Vasir and her Overload can be used on the Engineers. Once they are stripped Liara can CC with Singularity. Once Vasir is down to health the fight is basically over since you can immobilize her in any number of ways, such as Singularity, Cryo blast/ammo, Neural Shock, whatever. Singularity+Throw/Warp will often end the fight extremely fast if you can throw her off the map. In one fight I had with her the Singularity itself threw her off the map without any help from other powers.
For the SB fight just remember that Liara's Warp will stagger the SB, opening him up for head shots. I would go ahead and manage both Shepard's and Liara's weapons based on the SB's current defense, SMG for shields, Pistol for armor. If you are an engineer you can get the SB to turn around so you have a clear shot at him while he deals with the drone. It is probably better to go with an explosive drone since the SB makes short work of your drone. For Sentinel or Adept you can arc a Warp around his shield.

Huh? oh you've got to be kidding me! yea I usually have lvl1 stasis. I've no idea why I didn't realize that it auto kills drone. uguguguguh.
I maybe be because I'm always doing overlord+singularity+warp combo on the engineers first. Thanks for pointing that one out.
SB, I think my issue lays in that way I fight and move around, since I often get stuck in the "going into cover animation", when I don't want to.

once you figure out his pattern it's easy. The shadow broker was only difficult the first time only because I didn't know right off the bat his pattern of behavior. I just smg'd him to death as an engineer on insanity on my last playthrough.
For vasir, I just used Liara's stasis, smg'd her shields down and then used incinerate for armor. cakewalk with stasis.

Probably because it doesn't die right away. First the stasis is active, and then when it wears off the drone crashes

Anyone who says "fear me" as an intimidation tactic, might as well have the confidence of the biotic god. AKA not scary at all.

I don't think confidence is the problem.

Spoiler
Yeah, that. Maybe it is an attention issue? Like a little kid banging his head on the parents to get attention? Anyway, it ends up appearing cute and narly, like Harbinger.

And no matter how much you work your a~~ to kill "Shadow Broker" in end dear Liara comes to sit at his chair and she becomes next super creep in MEU that watches everyone's step including your own because she has cameras everywhere
Such charming ending...now excuse me while my Shepard tries to figure out where are all these cameras because she won't be able to sleep tonight.
