I need opinions on dual wielding and 2H weapon skills. I am deciding between two characters to play through the first time with. The first is a human noble warrior, the next is a dwarf commoner warrior. I notice the dwarf gets one skill in dual wielding at the start so I was wondering if that tree is worth pursuing. With the human I wanted to go 2H weapons, but I didn't know if I should just dump all my early level points into STR for that or something else.
Depending on whether 2H weapons or dual wielding is more effective, that info will help me choose my first character. Thanks.

Both are effective, but follow different development paths. The 2H warrior is a pure strength monster: all offense, no defense. The 2W path requires high dex to buy the talents, so it's more suited to a dagger user or possibly as melee backup for an archer.
It really comes down to a roleplay decision. Choose whichever you feel you'll enjoy more.

I have a feeling having no defense is going to cost me. Maybe I'll go for another path initially.

well, that's what heavy/massive armor is for. Or a mage casting forcefield on you. There are multiple ways to skin any cat. Seriously, there are no broken weapon styles. Choose whatever you like best.

If I may ask here, I am using a regular Iron Greatsword right now (with human noble), would I be well served to buy a Greyiron one? The damage and critical chance isn't much higher but I'm getting my butt kicked in the Korcari wilderness. I just realized that one of my part members is a level behind and they all have injuries from being revived, so I need to get the edge on the Darkspawn somehow. Thanks.
