I don't think Yahg would need to be seen as a super race even if they were uplifted. Although we know they are cunning and have 20th century equivalent technology, we don't know how long they have been at that level. If it was hundreds of years it would say something about their scientists. Their anger and social skills are also a serious weakness. The writers could quite easily say they only form small packs, their lack of organisation would be another significant weakness.
I think they would be an interesting piece in a new sequel, not as the main villains, they simply aren't powerful enough, but they would make an interesting dangerous threat. They could be secretly uplifted and everyone would suspect the Salarians, which would shatter alliances and create distrust among the council races.

Yahg are a pack of animals. Was that racist? Well, anyway, I'd think the Council would in fact do everything in their power to see to it that the Yahg stay on their planet, they did slaughter a group of envoys IIRC. The Shadow Broker was supposed to be a particularly brilliant individual and he was still not above Hulking out over a little comment from Liara.

So you're saying because there not human they aren't aloud to be the best in the galaxy and anything that is of course other than human automatically becomes a Mary Sue? just because they are an amazingly,diverse and interesting creation shouldn't take away from there uniqueness as a species.

But the Asari aren't diverse. They are just universally superawesome! Have we ever met an ugly Asari?
