Seriously though I'm not seeing much of a difference in their design from DA2.

Oh my god, I am laughing so much. XD I would love this type of scene in DAI only with our qunari companion having to explain a few hornless qunari.

I may have been remembering the opposite, where someone asked if horns could be cut or if we could play a hornless qunari and it was said that they would all have horns. Again, meeeeemory

 

I remember that, but I remember it as that the player would have the option of using horns in charater creator or you can choose to remove them. No ide who remembers it right thou lol

They were always supposed to have them, but there was a graphic design problem getting Sten to have horns and wear a helm. 

 

That's the real explanation.  

 

The lore explanation is that some of the ox-men like to go hornless. Sten was just one of the first ones we met. 

LOL sort of.  The lore explanation is that if a Qunari is born without horns (which is rare,) then they are destined for great things.  Giving that chance for the player to be a hornless Qunari Inquisitor reflects that, I think.

 

On topic: I actually really like the update.  I look forward to seeing them with more of the textures in place, but otherwise they look great!

I need to see a full-body qunari female model. It's imperative. 

I actually really want to see one as well. We see one in the comics, but seeing them in engine would be interesting.

Yeah they kind of do look different; the horns seem to grow out from the forehead instead looking like they've broken through the skin. I'm actually going to miss that, I think. Also about the eyes, I remember someone - might have just been speculation from other fans??? - saying that qunari could have both black and white sclera. Maybe??

From what I read, that's just an option that players can choose.  You don't have to look that way.  

 

But yes, I like it.  It has a very tribal feel to it.  I probably wouldn't go that route, but I'm liking the expansion in options.

I guess it's just my aversion to facial tattoos. Only one I liked was the default Dalish one on my elf.

I am a bigger fan of body tattoos, particularly ones on the arms and shoulders. I doubt we'll have the option though.

I'll actually be a little disgruntled if we can't have body war paint for our Qunari.  That...doesn't seem right to lack that option.  I won't come onto the forums and starting ranting and raving.  That's not my style, but I'd be disappointed.  

 

I'd be very happy if they included that, since it would make total sense for the race.  And it would look fantastic.

Well considering we wear armor about 99% you might be disappointed

This is why I'm hoping the devs will give the player the chance to make Qunari style armor.  I know they are allowing us some armor customization in Inquisition, so there is a chance for it.  A slim one.

Well, from what we've heard the body is preset, so customizing it seems slim to none.

What could be possible is having tattoos as part of the outfit. For example, if the male chest plate has one pec revealed, you might be able to customize a tattoo on it.

I always imagined them as being the most beautiful of the races. The men are the epitome of physical athleticism so that trait is something i see carrying over to females in the form of attractiveness

I can see that. Sort of like the Twi'leks in the Star Wars universe.
