If they're open to receiving advice, then yes. If not, then nope. I still facepalm whenever I see someone put a AP mod on a GPS.
Do you feel the need to give advice to randoms?

I was tempted two days ago. In a PUG Gold lobby, I saw an Adas with HVB and Reegar with Smartchoke, by the same guy who also had sniper gear equipped.

I try from time to time, they mostly ignore me and I'm fine with that too. If I see a particle rifle with stability and explosive rounds I'd rather pug lottery it though, because it's good for a laugh.

i once had someone telling me to not melee banshees when i was playing a krogan. he continued to say things such as, "ok bro, when she's like that you can't hit her or she'll grab you. you have to like wait til she's done warping, bluh bluh bluh." as he continued speaking, another banshee appeared next to him and sync-killed him. i smiled.

Usually no. I'll mic up with randoms if they're using too but I usually only give someone advice if they're not in the hack circle or walking with the drone. Usually it's "I'm not going to revive you when you die all the way over there...oh, you're dead?"
I don't like dishing out other advice because I hate it when players try to tell me do. Who am I to offer anyone advice?

i feel like i would make a mistake like that. I'm not totally clueless, but i feel like i don't know how to use everything in the best way. i would not mind if someone noticed and spoke up NICELY about it and gave me some pointers. it'd actually be pretty nice. as long as their not rude about it. if their rude id be really annoyed. but its cool that people are so good at those kinda things and would like to share the information.

Yeah,if they are polite,I´ll gladly share my knowledge about this game.
But mostly ,if I see GPS/Venom/Adas etc with Piercing mod and/piercing ammo,I´m silent.

I never thought of going to the manifest to check a very efficient buildIf they ask I'll say something. Usually just let my game play do the talking. My HQ is public too so anyone can look up my builds.

I wouldn't say feel the need but if someone has something really screwy on (sniper amp with a shogun on) I'll sometimes turn on the mic and let them know. I'm from the school of "hey, just wanted to let you know you have .... just in case you hadn't noticed". I try to keep it friendly. But I usually just bail the lobby on stuff like that since most of the time when I've done it, the person doesn't change anything. I rarely offer advice in game unless I've found a group that's talking and a relative newbie seems open to it. Most of them learn the hard way, just like I did. We were all new at this once, and unlike most of epeen bragging, most of us weren't awesome at it from the get go. Personally, I still kind of suck. It's all right; I'm having fun.

PC users are not allowed to speak, normally. As such I usually restrict my talking to "phantom behind you" or "good job" if someone clutched a wave.
Using stasis at an armored target? Hell, I do that all the time, damn my butterfingers. I would get really annoyed if someone insisted on pointing that out every time... ![]()

Advice is rarely wanted. If we are chatting on mic I'll explain what I'm doing.
The in-game cues are actually quite unhelpful sometimes:
'Get to extraction' - no don't.
'Cover me' - I'm hacking the objective cloaked, standing next to me gives me no cover.

I do, because most people don't come to the forums and don't know about the hidden mechanics of the game. Last night I had a pug who had the piercing mod and APIII on the Adas and I simply told him it wouldn't benefit from the piercing and it would be better to use ammo or ultralight materials (he was playing the Smashdept) and either warp or incendiary ammo. He opted for warp ammo and the AR scope, which is how he wanted to play so I let him go. I do this a lot and I've never come across someone who gets angry. In the end they're on my team for the game and I don't want the team being gimped by lack of knowledge.

I never dispense advice in an online game unless being asked.
The only exception that comes to mind - more an expression of annoyance veiled as advice - is to stop nuking spawns away from the objective when I encounter this.
