Not anymore. The first year I played this game I tried to offer simple advice occasionally in the friendliest manner possible. I didn't get any horrible reactions fortunately but bad attitudes aplenty. If I'm pugging I just switch lobbies until I find people that look better. Otherwise I'm typically in a party vs game chat.
Do you feel the need to give advice to randoms?

If I see AP rounds on an acolyte I or something similar may make an off hand comment like "oh yes, because armor pierce makes perfect sense on a gun that shoots bouncy balls that explode on impact" but generally no because its not like they listen or they go nucking futs about how they know better and let them play the game etc.
Sometimes I mention if they're doing something silly. Most of the time I say nothing and let people find out the hard way - such as Mr N7 Fury with a Typhoon.
That was actually quite the funny game cuz he was mic'd up and even like 1/2 way through was rambling over and over to himself "this was a bad idea" and whining why you didn't warn him.... lololol!!!!!! His commentary alone was worth the carry ![]()

If they're using any of the infinite ammo weapons on a drell and I have my mic plugged in, I warn them about the camera glitch.
Beyond that I only give advice if asked.

I'll still message randoms occassionally but only if they're using mods or consumables which do absolutely nothing to their kit.
The only gameplay advice I've ever given was 'Get in the hack circle, dammit!'.

I have buddies that give pug advice with great success usually, but for my part I say nothing unless asked.

I don't have a problem giving a helpful tip if I happen to have my mic plugged in while pugging. In all the times I have done it, I have never had anyone get angry or upset that I said something.

The only thing I give advice on is "GET IN THE DAMN CIRCLE. BEING NEAR THE CIRCLE IS NOT THE SAME AS BEING IN THE CIRCLE".
Also, don't camp extraction on Wave 11. Just get there 10 seconds before the end of the wave.
Other than that,I don't give build, gun advice unless it's an obvious mistake (i.e. Pistol amp used with no pistol equipped).

Never. They can learn themselves.

I don't feel the need to teach randoms anything anymore. Very few listen to what you have to say, so the best way is to downright show them.
That doesn't mean I won't shove my clandestine ME3 multiplayer cultist views down their throat. They need to be taught about those.

very often, but I don't unless their lack of knowledge is making the team fail.
