I'm just posting this here to state that I am absolutely loving this new forum. It's more fitting for Bioware to have a more professional looking forum. I didn't even take part in the forums on the old one, as I didn't like the layout or the color scheme at all. This brighter and more professional scheme is wonderful, so I will be partaking more in the community.

Good work, Bioware.

I'm kind of the opposite, i was more open in the old BSN. Now i just post in the same 4 topics or so over and over out of boredom. Sigh......I miss the the old site but this is nice too but....... the classics....... -_-

Lol, I see that you just became a member today, so please tell me you are not getting paid by ea to do this...

To each their own I suppose.

I didn't become a member today. Granted, I wasn't a member for long. If you had clicked on my DAO and DA2 icons to the side, you'd be brought to my profile on the old forum. I am not being paid to say anything, and i'm insulted that you would even suggest that. I didn't even start playing the Dragon Age series until recently, (Near the beginning of this month, I think.) so my words won't have the weight someone who was a member for years would have

I seriously doubt that EA would pay someone to promote their obscure forum on their own obscure forum.

Exactly. I just now found out about the new forum today. I'm not sure how long it's been up and running. My bioware account has been active since the second of this month, which is when I started playing Dragon Age Origins. I'm still not completely finished with the game either. I've got a few more main quests in Awakening before I head off to Golems and Witch Hunt.

It's making my eyes bleed but hopefully they'll put together a darker colour scheme sometime soon.

Yeah, I actually got accused of the same thing when I first joined. Though, I was defending ME3 instead of saying the new forums look snazzy (which is the truth).

An option to change the bright white background would be nice, also I kind of miss the polls, but those are minor complaints. Otherwise I like the new forums.

It is true that the bright white can be blinding. I've dimmed my screen to silence it a bit. I do like a lighter color scheme, but Pure white can be overbearing. I do prefer it over the black though. An option to change color schemes would be great.

Loving this forum ? i didn't think it possible but i'm happy someone does but it will probably change when you have been here a while, just now it feels more like a lesser Obsidian forum imo.

No need to get defensive, it was supposed to be a joke. Guess I need to work on how to deliver written humour a bit better, and just so you know, if you are defending anything from ea on this forum, it is a custom to accuse you of working/getting paid/having family member or friend working for ea. :)

P.S. Hope the smiley face will inform you the intention of my comment.

I apologize. Sometimes I don't detect humor hidden in words if they're not accompanied by a smiley.

I really liked BSN,with significant exception of one over zealous moderator. Layout of the site and community using it  both were highly enjoyable. It would have been nice had they updated the software, it had it's undeniable oddities.  Upgrading entirely away from it feels kinda unnecessary.  Reading&posting on Bioware Social Network had that much more human ring and warmth  to it than posting on DIVISION OF EA. Name Bioware still has it's undeniable value. I find it odd EA is so eager to dismantle the brand. .

Being able to 'like' individual posts is a very damaging thing to have on any forum. Usually significant minority in any community sees it as an invitation to vomit a horde of oh-so-witty witty puns. It leads ot endless circle jerks by various cliques. +1ing  makes a fertile soil for  "Acceptable,Correct Opinnion Of The Forum " to grow and prosper. It encourages you to decide what to think of the post before you even read it. " Ohh, Jim,Jil, Ed and Ted all have liked this! I really like Ed and everybody but me really likes Jim. This opinnion must be socially acceptable! I better think that way too! Now let's see what the guy says.."

Like this post if you don't like evil people, diseases, wars or sadness!!

Is Stanley Woo among mods of this place, too?

I love it. It's awesome that now you can change your avatar quickly and whenever you want without using some program to upload them and then waiting for them to show up like in the old forums. Gif avatars should be allowed, though. Nevertheless, I do greatly miss the polls and the "What's new?" activity feed.

Also, like others have mentioned here and in other topics, the brightness is hurting the eyes. There should be an option to switch between white/black backgrounds or something.
