Now, I thought Justice was a demon, demons and spirits are essentially the same, right? Wasn't that mentioned by Merril and even by Anders himself?

I'm not hating on Anders, I actually have a soft spot for the guy, I just like picking on him, it was just essentially the writing in DA:II that let him down.

Demons and Spirits are different sides of the same coin. It's about motivation. Those motivations don't make them good or evil, just beneficial and malevolent.

It's a difference between a symbiote and a parasite.

Where has there ever been a case where a demon fed on its own kind?

Also do Demons even fight each other?

I remember the quest in DA:II that had two demons fighting over the Feynriel kid in the Fade.

Also wasn't there a hunger demon in a part of the main quest into the Deep Roads feeding off other demons? Or am I remembering that wrong?

Oh Dragon Age II, I haven't touched that game for a long time.

Thanks.

Ok now that we got personal motivations, what about it walking in public? It's one thing to travel with a Qunari or a Blood Mage, but with a freakin' Demon?

Source?

"A great deal is made of the most powerful demons, those that create abominations and those that have changed the history of Thedas. It is often forgotten that not all demons are such awe-inspiring beings. Some that break through the cracks in the Veil into our world are known as wisps, a sliver of a thought that once was. A wisp is a demon that has lost its power; either it has existed in our world for too long without finding a true host or it has been destroyed—often, so we've found, by other demons. What remains of its mind clings tightly to the one concept that created it—a hatred of all things living. While its ability to target a living creature is limited, these wisps often mindlessly attack when encountered in the Fade. In the living world, they often have been known to maliciously lure the living into dangerous areas, being mistaken for lanterns or other civilized light sources. This does, however, seem to be the very limit of their cunning."

--From the journal of former Senior Enchanter Maleus, once of the Circle of Rivain, declared apostate in 9:20 Dragon Age.

Also as other people pointed out you have rivarlies between demons already in game.

Destroying each other isn't far fetched and its all be confirmed to occur behind the scenes.

Fighting does not mean killing and the demons in the deep roads feed off the red lyrium.

I never said they where killing each other, just stating a case of Demon in-fighting that I remember, like General TSAR asked "Do Demons even fight each other?"

Hrm, I thought I might be remembering that Deep Roads quest wrong, all I really remember is a Hunger Demon trying to make a deal with you, so you would not kill anymore of it's prey, which I assumed where the Rock Wraiths and the Demons that where attacking you throughout that place. Not played DA:II in a looong time.

It was actually one hunger demon that was feeding off the rock wraiths.

The face she wanted to sleep with Shepard, which means death for Shepard, counters your point.

No it doesn't.

She was an Ardat-Yakshi, so yes that is exactly what it means.

Er, may I try to translate this?

Well if the rumors are true, I think we'll be having one in the name of Cole from Asunder.

Right, she told you up front everything she thought on the matter, and it was for you to decide.

I'm just saying her wanting to sleep with Shepard meant she at least partially wanted to kill them. Now if you avoid that road, she doesn't, but I thought the argument was if that road was taken.

She does say this. She thinks due to everything you experienced, your will may be strong enough to survive.

That's what she thought or wanted to believe when her mind was clouded by a boner.

No it doesn't.

Why would you think her mind was clouded by a boner?
While sleeping with Shepard might not mean even partially that she wanted to kill him/her, it means at least that she wouldn't care much if he/she'd die.

Because she wanted Shepard?

It was on Normandy, pretty sure Morinth wasn't up for being thrown out the airlock by EDI.

Wanting a person means your mind is clouded for excitement?
Fair enough.

Keep in mind how much excitement she gets as an Ardat-Yakshi.

That's it.  I'm getting Asunder this weekend.

Do it.

I'd read the first two books if I were you (assuming you haven't read them), since you'll need the first in order to understand the second, and the second helps you understand a reference in the third, but you'll be able to understand everything if you decide to just read Asunder. You just won't know anything about Fiona.
