It's bologna. 99% of the female population does not run like that.

Especially in flat shoes.  That exaggerated strut is largely the result of wearing heels, and none of these adventurers should be wearing a heel larger than you'd see on a riding boot.

I hold hope that the horrifying strut for Cassandra was a placeholder. It's unlikely, but still....

I don't want my second-favorite character to have such an out-of-character run animation! *fangirl-y sobs*  :crying:

Gonna throw my support behind more functional movement for both male and female characters, instead of excessive shoulder and hip sway

I'm starting to think that it wasn't Cassandra. In previous gameplay ( http://youtu.be/f8xJMWRI-cA?t=19m50s ) she walks very naturally. Without this ridiculous strut. So maybe that woman in the recent video is a completely different companion?

Pre-alpha, think placeholder.

Honestly, its the weird limp arm movements that through me off more than her hips.

It's highly unlikely we'll get 2 female seeker companions with that haircut

Good point :) Still... I think it is the same companion. I just think they used a different body model. Let's hope they stuck with the original, more "natural" one for Cass.

It's a combo for me. But yes, those flailing limp-wristed arms, gah!

It's just not Cass-like.

But I still hope we get a choice as to how our inquisitor runs.

Gosh, yes, her t-rex arms are also horrible.

Hope that was a placeholder too. Looked rather silly seeing Cassandra waving her hips like that..

And the arms..

I hope so. She looked awesome in the pre-alpha gameplay and I want her to stay that way :P

I'm sure it's something they can tweak/change.

Of course, they may not want to, but they surely can.

I agree,as far as Vivienne is concerned it wouldn't really bother me,but Cassandra...It doesn't fit her style at all!

Y'all are mad. Nothing wrong with the strut. You strut when you handle your business. You're saving the world and doing it while inquiring on various things. You're taking care of business.

The Bioware Pimp-Jog is standard in all BW games. Should be used to it by now

I would like it better without that walk, tbh. One reason to play a male...

The arms remind me of Wonder Woman from the old 1970s TV show.

At least the arms aren't flying back like a running Sceptile

I didn't even notice.

Just watched it again, and still don't see it. Not saying it isn't't there, mind you, just that It isn't so glaring that I notice it.

I mostly play males and stare at the male behinds so its no problem for me.

When I do play a woman they tend to be fab so this doesn't matter for me either.

If Cassandra ends up walking with swaying hips Ill head canon that my inquisitor is having a Sass Effect on her.

Hmm, Cass hip "struts" are fine. Slightly exaggerated but I think her shield and coat-tails make it look worse. Very rhythmical.

I think Bioware gave femHawke her own animations because people complained that the female characters had to use the same animations as the male characters and it looked strange. Personally I don't pay much attention to the walk/run of the DA characters, DAO was a little stiff and DA2 swayed a bit but I didn't really notice Hawke's exaggerated run until people pointed it out to me. I'm just happy she didn't have to share animations with maleHawke. Maybe a middle ground could be reached, swaying more than the warden but less than Hawke?
