Not ashamed to say that I'm a fan of the strut. The run? Not so much.

Me too. Genius invention.

1) Depends on what you consider sexy.

2) Depends on how you are built.

3) Depends on your occupation.

I can assure you that there are women out there that like to move their shoulders while they walk, and men that like to sway their hips.

There are also men who wear makeup, shave their legs, and pluck their eyebrows. That doesn't mean those are suddenly masculine activities. Because a few women try to do a shoulder strut walk doesn't make it a feminine walk or even gender neutral.

Yeah I wear makeup, shave my legs and pluck my eyebrows. It's a unisex activity. Non gender neutral things are having sex and giving birth.

Swaying while walking is cool.  If it's optional,  even better!  As for the female running animation in DA2..I can't say I'm a fan of it.  It's so exaggerated.

That still does not excuse the running animation they used for female Hawke. Walking may allow for a little extra sway and bounce, but running/jogging is another matter. My ass doesn't move that much up and down or sideways when I run, even if an army of hot dudes was staring at me, and I certainly don't wave my arms around like she did. I have never seen a female jogger do any of that either.

I can't believe there are people who didn't even notice it.  Have you ever seen someone run like that before? As soon as I saw my character run for the first time all I could think was how ridiculous it looked. If you see a man and a woman jogging next to each other, there really won't be that much of a difference in how they move.

Considering that some people might pay more attention to different aspects of the game the first time they play it,you shouldn't be surprised. As far as I'm concerned,I immediately focused on the environment and eventually, the red dots that appeared on my map...After noticing though, here comes the nausea!

Perhaps, but I would expect that your own character is still some of the first things that will catch your eye, especially if you have them move around.

After it got pointed out to me, I did wonder how I didn't notice it, wtf brain  :pinched:. I mean it usually is something I take notice of.

I agree, it's only the walk animation I like. The run animation is weird and makes no sense.

That's nice but society disagrees.

Pls, society disagreed with earth being round, with black people rights, with gay marriage. We'll get there. Naturally women have hairy legs as well, so.

The one time I played femHawke, she was a mage in robes so the strut didn't bother me. I'd imagine it would look weird in plate.

It was only around the creation of my 3rd femHawke that I noticed the extent of the sway o.O  I actually prefer it to the linebacker jog from DA:O.  The Fabulous Dragon Age 2 mod that bestowed the female animations on every man in Thedas was pretty fantastic (if a bit disturbing) and definitely worth trying :P

Looks a little off in leather too.  Not as hot as you might think.  At times, it seemed like Hawke was trying too hard to be sexy and failing.

A normal girl walk would be nice, and not a men's walk. I for one run with my forearms out, the typical girl run. It would be nice if they made our female characters to act normal.

The idle stance stood out more for me. I doubt female Hawke was comfortable....

Actually, for the majority of time high heels existed, men were the ones to wear them.

Yep, first ones to wear heels, first ones to wear fancy wigs, first ones to use makeup and to have long nails. Men need to return to their former glory. xD

If this ever happened, then I'd rather become a lesbian.

Trying just hard enough to accomplish if you ask me. The strut was sexy, and well received here.

Maybe not. But I'd rather have a real girl than a man that looks like a girl. I wouldn't find any man attractive if they did all those things.
