I have seen way to many posts about people being upset about a post containing spoilers, yeah nobody is supposed to post spoilers but lets face it, something will sneak through or what one person calls public knowledge somone else will call a spoiler.

If you are somone who does not want to have the video game spoiled for you, use common knwledge and dont read posts that could contain possible spoilers. Instead of ripping into somone who posted a "spoiler", own up to the fact that you clicked on the link and read the post, nobody forced you to do it.

Exactly. I agree. This is how I go about. I avoid all spoilers, trailers, talk about trailers (since people who have seen spoilers might have more depth to the trailer and thus from the trailer spoil it), reviews, discussion, etc.

I want my game with as little pre-knowledge as possible.

Mass Effect General Discussion (NO SPOILERS ALLOWED) Is on top of these forums. Therefore, you are wrong. There shouldn't be spoilers at all.

There is also pinned post saying there are not suppose to be any spoilers. If you post spoilers, you will be banned.

End of discussion.

Except if you actually read that thread (!) you will see Prieslty goes on to explain anything released in marketing materials, previews, etc. for ME2 is not considered a spoiler.  What I gather the OP is referring to is people complaining about being spoiled by people talking about these kinds of things on the board.

Oh Snap!
TyDurden13 is right. Anything that's been released as public knowledge is fair game.
