Do you gear up before searching for a lobby or not?

I did when I still played as I was constantly getting put into in-progress matches anyway. I would only leave if I saw certain maps/kits or players.

Definitely. I have enough gear, particularly level 2 & 3, that it's not an issue to do so.

Never. If it's a GIP, I leave.

I do use full consumables, but never something I'll regret losing in the "wipe fests" that games-in-progress sometimes result in...

I have never geared up before searching for a pug. I pug plat a lot, so i dont bother to stay in the games i join in progress because chances are either its wave 11 and cant be bothered to stay lol, or it is wave 1 with all but one bled out.
Also more often than not the map will be either Rio or Giant and i am sick and tired of those two. I'd rather join a lobby and judge for myself whether the group is fit to be played with or not. Sure there's ample amount of lvl2/1 stuff but why care when i am not interested at all in simply carrying?

I personally do. My intention is to play so I put gear on first so if I get dropped into a game I'm prepared. I almost prefer to get dropped into a in-progress game than lobby most of the time. I would rather not know what everyone is using or lack there of. I would rather not know how bad or good my team appears, I will figure it out on the fly. I don't pug platinum so I'm speaking from a gold or lower difficulty point of view. I'm interested in hearing your replies!
I almost don't need to say anything since this is pretty much me... Always sucks when you end up coming in on wave 10 though.
And sometimes you have the most fun when you arrive to a scene of lots of little skulls. The cavalry has arrived!

Depends on the difficulty tbh. For gold games, yes I do, for silver I usually go with permanent gear
and maybe an ammo.

This is another reason I do equip before, I have most stuff at 255 and even the equipment I don't is triple digits anyways so I won't run out. I could probably not buy anything for 3 months and still have stuff left.Definitely. I have enough gear, particularly level 2 & 3, that it's not an issue to do so.

I don't search for lobbies, I host my own games.

Hell yes. Funny part is whenever I land in a lobby I'm usually the only one with gear on. Seems a bit discouraging at first but each pug lobby gets one.

Otherwise if it's gold, I will put on gear and maybe ammo if the picked character's performance is greatly affected by ammo priming so if I get thrown in GIP, I'm mostly set to go.

The only time i dont load up on consumables is when i hit the join game button before launching the game and end up with a nude kit surrounded by 2 banshees and marauders welcoming me

Always permanent gear. As for the rest: For Gold I put on lvl I stuff and switch to III/IV if I arrive in a lobby. I seldom pug Plat and I leave those if I arrive in game.

At least the banshees are nude as well, so you don't have to feel out of place. ![]()

Most of the time yes, but only low level equipment.

Always, with level 3 equipments max.
If you join an ongoing match and leave before the end of the next round you retain all the equipments, so why not.

Absolutely yes.

The odd time I join five games in progress then yes, I pick a setup and search again all geared up.

For Gold, I usually use Level II equipment when searching, and then up to Level III (or maybe IV) once I'm in a lobby I like.
