Basically, it's pretty simple.
We know what we like in CRPGs. We know that Bioware used to include these things in their CRPGs. We have this sinking feeling Bioware's starting to move away from these things, in both game series (ME/DA). Whereas I personally, wish, it was only in one, the one I've never played much.
I view this group as a "Caucus"/Interest Group, basically the idea is to discuss however we can get Bioware to listen to our views and/or keep their games true to these principles. Or simply to discuss how developments in DA:I seem either true to Grognard principles or are moving away from them. And what we can do about it! (Which could also be just crying in our beer, alas.)
BTW, this isn't a Vulcan mind-meld situation. We can agree to disagree within this framework. You don't have to agree with me that kossith is a useful descriptor term or that DA needs moar classes. I am also not this group's "leader" (nor really want to be), I just considered myself someone who should help form it.
Feel free to invite any other people you think would agree to this framework. Feel free to start whatever topics or news you want to post. I'm just trying to get like minds somewhat together. There are no restrictions based on age, preferred game platform (PC/Mac/Xbox/PS/Linux/whatever), that you think Diablo is the absolute shiznit, or that you love Mass Effect better. ![]()
Oh, and I'm open to suggestions on adding, or modifying, Grognard principles, too.
