Good job surviving for so long before needed a consumable too.

30 fps...

13:33 and 13:40, dem super deadly AI

Must be nice not needing to use ops packs when the enemy doesn't shoot at you for 4-5 seconds if you're moving...

-_-

Another reason why I'll look elsewhere for "impressive solos" before Cain's channel, at 30fps you literally get away with murder.

*casually stands around infront of 2 marauders and takes 0 damage*

Walks round the corner, health gated in 1 second. On Gold.

There are several impressive video's both posted and mentioned here ...

Does anyone have a link for this Stentron sub 18min solo? Curious to see it myself ... even if that time has been subsequently crushed ...

IMO, Heliadron's  20:xx GI Plat solo is the most impressive I have seen. Ruthlessly efficient gameplay

Again there's no comparison between the two platforms, way to be that guy and compare them though.

Just kiddin'. That was a nice solo too, I like the style of it. Although the best part by far was the flame that ensued XD

Little advice: before you watch it, take a look at the date when it was posted... ;)

Then why is Caineghis still attempting to claim he compares to far better players who play a far harder "version" of the game?

Calling Stentron and Spectre out, GG.

But yes, I am always the f*cking bad one here ain't I?

How about the better controls on PC? That makes a big difference even though it may not entirely nullify the fps advantage.

Simply gives you the ability to play better, you still have to play to the standard that your controls allow.

You do realize who we're talking about, right?
Going the same road as he does doesn't make you the bad guy since that position has already been filled, but it doesn't make you the good guy either.

Completely agree. Skill ceiling is higher.

Same argument can be applied in favour of console players though - while the game let's you get away with more at 30fps, controls would allow less than a PC player could do. I thought people should know that by now, there's plenty of players out there who have played this game both on console and PC.

On PC I can look around, behind me, the complete 360° while reloading my gun and decide where I'm going to run to avoid enemy LoS - on my poor console controls I have to hope that the enemies are still where I expect them to be and decide where I'm going to run to while reloading because I simply can't turn around that fast and not even move the camera while sprinting. Worst case scenario - I run into an elbow.

Remember, don't argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and then crush you with their years of experience.

@Deerber - tx bud! That is some impressive gameplay alright ... considering the little room is still open and there is an ammo box in the basement; no need to check the date ...

Exactly, I think the difference in controls is really underestimated compared to things like fps. And I wouldn't be surprised if fast fps conferred some benefits as well compared to 30fps.

Easier, smoother and more precise aiming. Picture is also more smooth.

Difficult to compare solos past v present but it would have to be an easier prospect now with AC, Scanner etc

I have seen quite a few 'impressive solos over the last 2 years but I would have to agree with those who have said that Spectres solo at 120 FPS at the time that he did it - is a standout.

Especially the scanner on glacier. I'm not going to go so far as to say it breaks solo runs on that map, but it's definitely straining it.

So any Hunter Mode runs on Glacier are broken by default?

Don't forget D-Pad woes. I've lost many solos from the D-Pad registering something other than what I hit and I get mauled to oblivion.

Remember I didn't go so far as to actually say it ;) But HM was also thought of similarly when it first debuted. It's just typical power creep

Hunter Mode is better than Scanner though, and you said you're straining it with the Scanner.

Because don't forget, Hunter Mode - as opposed to the Geth Scanner - also allows you to carry Armored Compartments.

On topic:

I also remember watching Sp3c7eR's Destroyer solo when it was uploaded - impressed back then, even more impressed today.

I think the players whose videos I enjoyed most were Stentron and Feneckus.

Yeah, those would be the guys whose vids I enjoyed the most too. I'd add Sy7ar too, though. He was a truly great player, and his vids were always awesomely edited. I loved them. I remember watching him headshotting a rolling dragoon with a javelin and go like "wtf?" XD

@Maxcrushmore: anytime. I'm always glad to help people to the joy of watching that solo. And yeah you're right, no real need to check the date ;)

Sten's were definitely the most impressive to me of anyone.
