Cons:

-Hurricanes

-100+ (37.4c) weather in the summer. (I personally like the heat though)

-Humidity

-People have too many common misconceptions of Mississippians. (Although they can be amusing)

I was raised in Nevada, and currently live in the Philippines. I've felt the harsh heat and chilly nights, drove through dust devils, seen the rocky mountains and the cold peaks on Mt. Charleston, been to the Grand Canyon, watched a thin film of snow blanket my old neighborhood and made one snowman that managed to last a single day.

 

And now I've experienced insane amounts of humidity, all-year round summers, getting eaten alive by mosquitoes, and brownouts that have lasted for 2 days straight. But the stars here are great. Away from the city, anyway. I remember seeing endless scatterings of stars against a pitch black sky one night, and there were little shooting stars flitting around.

 

Both places have their perks... but I do miss Nevada in general.
