Calgary, Alberta

Not too far away from the BioWare offices in Edmonton, actually.

Are you enjoying the weather here as much as I am?

The Netherlands, and we are referred to as Dutch (not Deutsch as in German ;) )

A lot of people refer to it as Holland when naming the tiny speck on the globe I live in.

Ohio, U.S.A. (I live in one of the southern counties, but I'm not getting any more specific than that.)

Pros:The scenery varies drastically depending on where you are. We also have some famous amusement parks. We don't have many natural disasters

Cons: Summer is absurdly hot and humid, winter is freezing and/or wet. No one knows how to drive. Unless you're in a major city there isn't anything to do. The internet sucks in rural areas.

"Aotearoa" is the Maori word for New Zealand, isn't it? That's my guess.

That would be correct, but it's not where I live or have ever been to.

As I remember he is from the city L.V.Beethoven was born in.

Close, but no cigar. Hint: that's a trick answer.

I was born in the British Virgin Islands ( in the Caribbean ) and I am currently living in Ireland. I'm sick and tired of the constant rain and I miss the sun.

From the great North, where the sound of winds and wolves howl through the air and were men make their living in the cold and unforgivable tundra.

This country is Finland. Moi!

I'm from a very small town in South Jersey.

Pros: Not much, limted crime.

Cons: Boring, lots of rain and snow, quiet, miles from the stores and not much in town besides a bunch of bars, 2 deli's, 2 pizza places and a couple of mini marts, no places to hang out, lots of drugs.

I'm from Norfolk, Virginia in the United States.

Pros: A wonderful blend of Urban/Rural (though that could be indicative of Virginia as a whole). Weather is just right most of the time.

Cons: Less than average public schools, crime, growing up here has given me a regional dialect that causes people to tease me: I pronounce it as "Naw-F*ck" everyone else says "NoR-Folk"

I'm from New Jersey in the U.S.

Pros: Plenty of places to eat and get stuff within walking distance.

Cons: Heavy snow storms during the winter making commuting a nightmare sometimes.

That ain't the only thing causing traffic problems in Jersey. *rim shot*

The PNW....Portland, Oregon to be exact.

Pros: Well located to beach, mountain, gorge, lakes/rivers. Great city for cycling.

Cons: Great city for cycling (meaning, troubles driving when needed :P ). Weather...meh. Local government :pinched:
Carrie Brownstein summed it up nice in an interview once, "Portland is a very curated city." Whether she intended it to be ironic or not, I took it as such. :D

Thailand but raised in England and now living there.

Pro's: I can go onto the beach any time and rent a jet-ski in Rayong, cheap food (inherited my love for spicy food from my mum), always sunny and the palm trees make me feel awesome, the culture is very social and easy to make friends. Living in a country where most want to visit for a holiday feels great and I'm quite popular with the girls and boys here.

Cons: The heat is killing me, I could not breathe or open my eyes at one point and its going to get worst, sleeping is hard and opening the window just makes it get even hotter (still hot even at night and you get bombarded by mosquitoes), some places look really shitty (Bangkok can look like a real shithole). The culture, despite having its good side, it has its seedier side. The seedier side has obviously created a negative stereotype for us, I can casually walk the streets and hear something racist about Thai people, ladyboys and "happy endings". Its also quite disappointing walking past a go-go bar and seeing the stereotype for myself.

I'm from Michigan, U.S.A. For the most part, I like it here; not too much risk of natural disaster, nor too much inimical wildlife, and (except for a few recent summers) not too hot in the summer. If you don't like the idea of winter lasting half the year, or the snow or the cold, it might not be the place for you.

Qingdao, China.

Pro: very good climate. Lots of beaches, mountains. Large greenspace in the city for a Chinese city as well. Awesome architectures left by the Germans. Best beer in China.

Con: It's China.
