[location that isn't Canada], I thought it was obvious.
Where are you from?

Northwestern USA all my life
Pros: temperate climate, widely varied scenery, generally friendly people, rugged Pacific coast
Cons: traffic in cities is among the worst of the nation, year-round humidity due to nearness to sea level
Last big newsworthy event was eruption of Mt. St. Helens in 1980. I got out of school for a few days when that happened; it was like a surreal winter with ash falling instead of snow.

I actually like the snow. Well, for someone that never saw it, at least...
In here, it's hotter than hell itself.

Where are you from? Since you don't see snow, I presume Asia? We've been getting 36 Celsius in Thailand recently and 27-28 during the night. I miss the snow in England, its quite sad I'll never see it again for the foreseeable future.

Pros: good restaurants, good bars, shopping, great night life
Cons: annoying retarded tourists, expensive, both driving and parking suck balls

I'm from the commonwealth of Massachusetts, or the communist wealth of Massachusetts... nothing we do here makes sense and if you can afford the taxes you get to sit in traffic for four hours minimum every day!

Haha. I know what you mean.
I have an apartment in Boston as well. Driving in Boston is much scarier than NYC. People literally just run red lights, not to mention the confusing inner-city tunnel system.
Like NYC, it is not a place to own a nice car unless if you have your own private parking.

I like NY, I go every summer for a few days. It's so big with lots of things to do, makes Boston look silly.

New York City's not for everyone. But, it's fun to go to with friends or insane family members. The northern New Jersey suburbs are more convenient places to live in as everything you need is so close. The only thing is that people are just not nice.

I suppose living most of my life in the Southern United States has colored my perceptions. I've never seen so many dang skyscrapers and apartments in one place, made everything look all grey.

Austria, to be more specific in the northern ''outback'' very close to the CZ and Bavarian border. Very rural area, I can see the milky way very clearly and from S-W the alps.
A typical country road close to where I live. (As you can tell, I'm living in a bicycle paradise)

And some more nature...

New Jersey...where the Statue of Liberty *really* is.
You folks who live in the US South complaining about the heat/humidity...really? There is literally a foot of snow in my front yard and it's *March*.

You must live in Central or South Jersey. North Jersey was spared the snow.

I live in Hawaii, but not the tourist destinations with white sand beaches and sun that you see on postcards. It just rains a lot here. I never cared much for going to the beach, though.

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. With occasional trips to Montreal.
Previously rural cottage country north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. With occasional trips to Toronto.
Plan is to stick around Ottawa (or at least Hull, or at leastttt a place I can drive to Ottawa from) until I either have my undergraduate or enough of it to feel safe about going elsewhere.
Then get the hell out ![]()
The way things are going, I may end up in Montreal, but I can't be sure. Heck, last year we even discussed moving to California.
