I personally prefer the numbered saves of KOTOR and Origins to the counted saves of Jade Empire, DA2 and ME3 (I can't remember if 1 & 2 used counted saves as well). DA2 was the greatest offender of them all though, at least with the others I could delete my previous saves and begin at save 1 again.

I actually liked the save structure from the previous few games.  It was structured very nice and I didn't need navigate a lot for that one specific save file to see a favorite seen.  Or redo a favorite mission.  If it is all together and just labeled 1,2,3,4,5,6 it be tedious way to just select it.  If I had one problem with it was that I couldn't delete the one specific character all at once.  I would need to go into his/her game file and manually delete each and everyone to start a new character.  Other then that the structure is fine.

I prefer numbered saves, too. The counted saves are kind of messy in my complicated mind, but I don't let it prevent me from playing. Haha
