Pretty awesome list though, some small stuff there that I didn't know about before. Good stuff.

No unique origin story. That's... unexpected!

At last, some clarity thank you OP. I don't know whether this would help but it's a link to read the Origins codex without the need to open the game. It's not complete on the quest related tabs, but it seems to have everything else. http://da-codex.appspot.com/

Wouldn't "true rumors" technically be "facts" ![]()

NPC Elves most likely won't have shoes.
RANT MODE ON:
WTF is this? Are they kidding? Are the Elves of Thedas some bloody Hobbit wannabies? I want my fancy shoes damn it!

Thank you so much for posting this. As much as I love the unconfirmed rumor threads, I prefer reading actual rumors and not nonsensical jokes.

Not until they pass the semi-confirmed level, or the "I thought that was the way it sounded" level, to the "officially confirmed and stated" level.
As we all know, games are Subject to Change for a variety of reasons, including developers wanting to put things in, but finding they didn't have time or couldn't make them work properly. And yes, BTW, I do think fans can be unreasonable when they don't accept that, well, this happens. This is aside from the fact that they can even change their mind on design elements/features, and that this should be allowed to happen. ![]()
Note this is true of games, and does not deal with other kinds of rumors. For which Rumor Control may be necessary. Such as urban legends. ![]()

You don't get it.
They're one with nature.
People who are one with nature don't wear shoes, it's a rule.

I think what we all want to know more of before the game comes out is the "how" (game mechanics, gameplay, game elements in a generic sense, i.e. "it has classes" vs. "it is classless").
What we may want less of, of course, is the "what" (plot elements, plot choices, plot NPCs or factions and their role, WHO THE BIG BAD IS, etc.) Those are the spoilers that can spoil. Of course, I don't think they will. ![]()
The stuff we do want from the first category may start trickling out, but I think the data dumps on it are still being held off. Not because we on the BSN are naughty and don't deserve nice things, but for simple EA info-management hype-timing reasons.

Ohohoho, I haven't gotten to those parts yet. I was so far behind in the news when I joined the fandom. Everything you see up there on that list was news to me, and that just gets me pumped. I haven't even examined the 30 minute gameplay that someone recorded from E3 yet, which has quite a bit of gameplay in it. There are several video interviews that I have yet to comb through. I've still got quite a bit of info to go through, don't you worry. There will be some info on gameplay.
The persuasive skills that I posted just yesterday is a good example that I was not expecting, but I hope to see when I do play DA:I. There's a small bit in the list about one of the skills that might be available to the Warrior class. There is a podcast that expands on what the tactical camera will be like on all the gaming platforms.
XD Just give me some time. I've still got a life outside of the internet to tend to. I can't just skip work to feed my obsession.

What I really want to know is, if we'll be able to bash locks (if we're not a rogue)
or use magic to open them, I seem to remeber a game where you could bash locks but risked damaging object inside the chest if you did. Cant remeber the game though, maybe Neverwinter Nights...
