Can we at least have the option of using a sheath for our weapons instead of "sticking" them to our character's back? Not having a sheath won't stop me from playing, but I find it more appealing. Besides, the noise it makes when pulling out your sword is pretty awesome and you could add a basic frightening effect skill or talent to go along with it.

In Varric's character kit you (check Bioware blog) you an see that in the pic of his back he has a dagger with a sheath. It still seems attached to his body though. Nothing is confirmed, but it see an a good sign.
I have to say though that I'm disappointed that the daggers are still equipped on the back and no on the side of the body

I would love to see sheaths.. they don't need to be fancy just there.

It'd be cool if they placed the swords and daggers at the side of the body, leaving the option to place the bow on the back. Dragon's Dogma does this and I really like that feature. Dragon Age is the total package though, and I'd love to see it done there.

One-handed swords are placed on the side of the body (Cassandra in the demo). I don't know why they wouldn't do the same for daggers.

I support sheaths! I support anything that causes the weapon/s to look attached to the character's body and not floating above it. :P

Definitely need baldrics, holsters, and the like. Weapons floating on character's backs just doesn't belong in a modern game. Modeling and animating them can be done. Even mages, that staff needs something to keep it held to the character.
