Turns out if you don't recruit Wrex you can't give him his family armor. Duh, you say? Well, its not like Wrex just disappears from the game if you turn him down after meeting him at C-Sec. He moves over to Chora's Den and waits for you to come groveling back begging for him to come along. So if you pick up his family armor after having turned him down you will get a journal entry telling you to check with the Krogan Urdnot Wrex on the Citadel to see if he knows anything about the armor. I just did that, but Wrex had no dialogue option for just giving him the armor. Instead, he still wanted to get on board the Normandy. So now I am stuck with this quest in my journal that I can't finish because I don't want to recruit Wrex.

i've never had this happen to me personally. sounds like the quest may be unable to finish unless you recruit him maybe? someone else may be able to shed some more light on the subject as it may be a possible glitch.

just curious, why would you not recruit wrex? he's awesome!

I am planing on sabotaging the genophage cure and I don't want to kill Wrex. It is just easier to not recruit him than to play nice and then stab him in the back.

i see. have fun with that because it turns into a real mess  . i always supported wrex except for my renegade playthrough in which i killed him on virmire. i still sabotaged the genophage in me3 when his brother was in charge.

Don't recruit Wrex and don't save Maleon's data. Let Mordin or Wiks live.

A word of warning: ME3 (or atleast Kirharre) will still act as if you killed Wrex on virmire -even though the import screen states the correct "never recruited" line.

I could never kill Wrex, haha. In my Renegon run, I just used the intimidate option on Virmire to convince him, and still cured the Genophage.

But to answer the TC, maybe you can only give him the armor back once he's on the Normandy.  The dialogue option on the Citadel for it is probably nonexistent.

Well yes... It's ME1's version of Loyalty missions...
So you're not eligible to do those unless they're actually on your team...
Kinda' makes sense don't you think?
Suck it up princess! ;)
And the "can't get rid of missions in the log" has been a plague since ME1 through 3 for many different bugged out missions...
"Omega: Assist the Mechanic" just one of the latest they added in there, to name one...

No way to fix it is the short answer, and ofc once again "Suck it up Princess!" being the advice... :P

Why not let Ashley kill Wrex FOR you?
I rp'ed it as Shepard about to convince Wrex when Ash steps in and shoots him in the back.
