This is another character I've never deployed. I've seen a lot a them HateSurfing and I would like to try that out on it. So I'm asking for your builds and weapons.

Lash - 6 (Detonate, Damage Over Time, Shield Penetration)
Warp - 6 (Detonate, Expose, Pierce)
Cluster Grenade - 6 (Force & Damage, Damage Combo, Force & Damage)

Fitness - 4 (Durability)

Weapon - Venom Shotgun (Spare Thermal Clip, High Caliber Barrel)

Playstyle
Cookie-cutter suggestion from Megabeast37215.  Warp and shoot, Cluster Grenade.  Generally how it goes.  Lash is awesome against dangerous mooks or a very close Phantom.

That's pretty much how I play the Slasher too, except I use the Claymore instead of the Wraith.

Prime with incendiary ammo and detonate with cluster grenade.  For boss units, fire weapon followed by Warp and cluster grenade for fire explosion and biotic explosion.

Speccing Batarian Slasher Adept is actually pretty simple.....

 

 

Step 1: Open Mass Effect 3.

 

 

Step 2: Once the EA and bioware logo sh*t is through you get an opening screen with ambient music being played, the screen says 'press any key to continue'. Now even though it is the only place in the entire game where you are free to select and use any key of your liking, you , being classically conditioned should press spacebar (on PC)...

 

 

Step 3: Once the game has connected to the EA servers.. and it can take eons... select the 'multiplayer' option from the main menu..... Also as a little taunting tantrum you can see a little ticker floating across the bottom of the laptop stating that your "friend" has overtaken your N7 rank/challenge point.... some top ranked people in the world  take this ticker to the heart...

 

 

Step 4: Once the multiplayer screen has loaded (please don't crash) select 'change character' option found at the bottom of the currently selected character image.

 

 

Step 5: On the character select screen you can browse through various classes/characters available only for the multiplayer. Select the class/character (Batarian Slasher Adept) whom you want to spec .

 

 

Step 6: Once you have selected the character, select the 'powers' option to view/spec that character's powers..

 

 

Step 7: Once at that character's power tree, select the individual power. The power tree expands. You will notice that power tree has 6 evolutions, first three have no choice while remaining three have two choices each.. 

 

 

Step 8: This is where a little bit of thinking takes place, "Do you want that evo or this one", "which evo should you not spec into?" I suggest reading "The ongoing encyclopedia of Developer's psyche on balance change and sh*t" Volume 66666 to make an educated decision.

 

 

Step 9: Once you've selected the evolutions of your liking click on the confirm buton to finalise your choices..

 

 

Step 10: Congrats! you have successfully specced your Batarian Slasher Adept.. Enjoy!

I made the switch to this. Was running 4/6/6/6/4 but I use Lash a lot more than I realized and the shield penetration evo makes phantoms a joke. Prime with charged Venom w/ Incendiary Ammo, detonate with Warp, then BE with either Cluster Grenade or Lash. Goodbye spawn.

Don't I need Lash to Hatesurf? Lash then directly into Heavy Melee? I don't play Batarians much so I know that might seem like a stupid thing to ask.

Why yes, to get the most out of Hatesurfing, you need lash.  You could try using cluster nades, I have never tried to hatesurf with them, but I guess it's worth a shot.
