I recently upgraded my video card to an ATI Radeon HD5870, and added an additional case fan to my computer.
Dragon age ran just fine previously on my older ATI Radeon card.
After some initial trouble with needing to reinstall PhysX, Dragon Age seemed to be working fine at first and there was no problem with the sound when I was playing it last night.
However, when I started playing again this morning certain sounds (Mainly random dialogue, but more noticibly most noises during battle) has begun to stutter badly, or repeat itself.
I don't know where to begin looking for the problem. I'm using a Realtek HD Audio integrated chipset which as I said before, had been fine previously. I know that the HD5870 has a HDMI audio-out option, but I've tried disabling that and it made no appreciable difference.
I've tested my system on Crysis: Warhead, The Witcher, Shattered Horizon and Mass Effect, and the problem only seems to occur in Dragon Age: Origins.
Any advice would be appreciated- if you need more info, let me know and I'll dig it up.
