My garbage Turtle Beach headset is about at its limit.  That plastic is about all the way cracked through.  Once it goes I will probably be gone a while as the headset I bought for my PS4 doesn't work with PS3.  Either way I am still in action and will be playing pretty soon if anyone in the chat wants to group.

I think the problem here is not the brand, or the plastic, but the user. I've had my set over a year, and not a single problem. Maybe stop throwing them down when you do something derpy in game?

I don't have a mic and can't actually hear what people say using the voice-chat, so  I can't partake in any over-the-mic shenanigans.

Sorry about that. I got invited to a turian threesome though. Would have stayed and finished that escort drone, at least, but I only had a little time to play so I couldn't get in the turian game without ditching that round.

That aside, I'm really not a fan of staying in GIPs too long, anyway. I think I dropped into that game in like wave 4 and started lagging immediately. So can't say it really was something I wanted to stick around for. sorry.  :/

Turdlol Beetch is overly expensive with subpar durability. Id rather buy a $15 Logitec headset.

Nah, the only scrubbiness involved was whoever almost joined with a non-turian kit, but thankfully Condor solved that problem for us. On my part it's been a month since I PStripled, so I hope my fat turian didn't shame palaven too much. 

 

In terms of lag it was okayish. enemies were rubberbanding quite a bit. But given where I live these days (rural area) and the quality of internet available in my area I don't usually get non-laggy games.

 

but i'll deal with lag any day if it means I can have a turian threesome

I'm starting to feel like I should just give this game up. Nobody used to lag on my host, but as time goes on, more and more people do. (I always do some speedtests before hand anyway, because sometimes it's just useless). I hate lag, and general off-host latency so much, I hate inflicting it on others.

Well kinda true, I mean the plastic and build quality isn't as good as I expected. The earcups hurt if you use them for an extended period of time. Also there's some weird echo when I speak that I can hear, which is a bit irritating. A decent headset sure but not really worth all the hype.

TTT - Missed it by 10 min. Sad . Have waited for that since two years. Anyway, I got curried by evn, leon and yummy, tho. Evn went ahead and showed us how to die, graciously, at least twice in each wave and at least being synced twice. Yummy - I have to say - u are seriously OP - even made fun of evn putting him on the backseat in his own host game. I seriously love AHF for this. gg means good games but Gg should mean great games

eh, your host wasn't that bad, really.  I did lag, but you see my internet connection is often a very traumatic yet magical experience

 

If I had real internet, I'd venture to guess the lag would have barely been noticeable.

Interesting. Guess it's then relative from what you are used to for your own on host.
I have a ping delay roundtrip with 11.8ms (+-15% deviation over 2 min). Your example shows how players get used to relative minor delays.

Mista Router noted in the past that mostly German players complain about his host (those few that connect at all) - So it might really be all those players that are accustomed to a certain "band of low delay"(matter of expectations).

For his host I must aim a bit off centre (relative to movement direction, L1, then slighly aim adjust the analog stick ca. one head off-centre @ 10 m) to score a headshot. In contrast Evn's host in the US has less perceived delay, and I use mostly plain vanilla aim (where no swarmers) even though it 10000 km further.

Various perceived connection delays - is another reason why a central server will be an overly expensive solution for 200k users /hour in me:a.
