As to the turtle beach stuff, I swear you guys live on another planet, we have had NONE of those issues. Is it because you don't research your stuff before you buy it? I have heard bad stuff about the newer Turtle Beach stuff, but these PLa headsets are perfect.

Ah yes, we always test the speeds several times before hosting (and not-hosting), simply refuse to inflict that on others on our host. It just seems like some people just get lags from either end, but we've even managed to some friends in who never could connect to many others - but then again, e.g. howyummy seems to be unable to join. 
As for Turtle Beach headsets, isn't it very possible you guys all have different models. There is a lot of variation within that brand alone. If i ever said 'duh', this would be that time.
Here is my experience:
I read through several reviews before buying any headset, and the wireless ones got worse grades for everything throughout the line, for that brand and some others (read also: less features, which is ridiculous for assumably newer tech).
The wired Turtle Beach PLAs we have, are my own favourites;
- A nice long wire, and soft foam on both ears; I will never use those models with just one-ear-speaker+hard clip on other side - that idea is DOA if one wants sounds from all sides.
- PLAs sit snugly and aren't too hot due to the foam -- I hate those fake leather/leater ones! They make me sweat. (I'm sure some will say the opposite, but this is my opinion, so I'm voicing it as is.)
- The sound quality is good, and my favourite & absolute must: you can adjust the game sounds and chat separately.
- The newest pair was also 23 eur on sale (normal price here 40eur, everyhing is ecking fuxpensive in fhis country). Our older set is about 1 year old, and there is no sign of any wear or tear.
So, I for one have been happy with our Turtles - and not ashamed to say that as a gril, I'm picky about the comfort level.
If there was one thing I could change, I'd want this exact same model wireless, but it doesn't exist. And now i don't have to charge them up or worry about battery life. Wish you'd see how much I often exercise/flail/sway/duck during gaming, and I still manage the wire just fine.

I spent nearly 2 hours trying to get mine to work with the ps3..after searchin da internetz..I found I need a special adapter to plug into the ps3 in order for my mic to work.. I was / am able to hear sound...and you guys talking thru my headset..I just cant talk back....

Yeah, I would give up gaming with those speeds too. I often get 40-50mbps though, so it is just some times that I cannot play.
And yes, Arktinen gets a full day's workout in just 10 minutes of gaming.

Yeah mine's a wired one as well but maybe it's because I was comparing them to my old sennheiser cans I had. They were about the same price but had these really awesome soft and comfy foams and it was very easy to use them for more than a couple hours or so. They also felt pretty sturdy and still holds up just fine after all this time.
I kinda expected that level of quality from Turtle Beach from their marketing. It's still a good set though but it's not phenomenal or anything Imo.

Actually, Triple-T ..I saw the internet connection thing you posted.....I knew you were one of those people....You know...the moon people? I have spoken to this forum about how many players host games from there , yet no one believed me......you just provided evidence.

Be careful what you wish for - I have what would otherwise be a great set of Turtle Beach PX5s, which are wireless, but I wish they weren't, as they really don't work right with the PS3. By necessity they can't be sited too far away from my router, and I assume that's the cause of the interference if I turn my mic on. I get an intermittent popping sound, with sound dropping out momentarily every few seconds.
The first thing PC Mustard Rice players say is "Drop the wifi", but then everybody and their dog has to have a wireless headset. Seriously, this headset has really long cables, so I don't have to be sitting on the PS3 to play, and no wireless interference.

Thankfully those magical speeds aren't a consistent thing. Like today I do have real internet. Kinda.
